    Crafting with +1 +2 +3 items gives more SP!!!

    No joke.. I'm getting about 25% more SP for using just +1 materials alone over +0.

    Crimson Crayfish+0 ~ 392SP (result 6 wind shards)
    Crimson Crayfish+0 ~ 400SP (result 6 wind shards)
    Crimson Crayfish+0 ~ 398SP (result 6 wind shards)

    Crimson Crayfish+1 ~ 528SP (result 6 wind shards)
    Crimson Crayfish+1 ~ 495SP (result 6 wind shards)
    Crimson Crayfish+1 ~ 478SP (result 6 wind shards)

    Done using Alchemy 37. No support, no abilities, just plain standard synthesis.

    This idea has been tossed around and let me just state its not true

    the SP itself is random between a certain range, and after having done 10s of thousands of synths, with and withoiut HQ mats i can tell yuo right now, the quality you end up with has no bearing on SP gained.

    your results are more likely in/out of fatigue.

    im doing scale bugs right now

    i get 450-550 for NQs
    i get 450-550 for HQ1s
    i get 450-550 for HQ2s
    i get 450-550 for HQ3s

    Smelting ore down to metal has been a common activity for me across a range of metals, qualities and levels. I have observed no change in SP across +1/+2/+3, ever. And that is since beta.

    This is indeed a complete myth.

    What HQ materials DOES give you is extra starting durability and quality on your synthesis, boosting your chances on the result also being high quality.
