WHOA! Returning player could really use some help/questions answered!

Ok so I was legacy and got Archer to level 30 with conj to unlock bard right before the game went down. At that point I was finally really getting the hang of things.

But now I'm back and a LOT has changed and I'm simply lost. Decided to lvl a new class, THM.

Here are some questions:

1. I've switched my weapon to a THM weapon, but should I go somewhere/talk to somebody/get some quest before I start leveling this? Or just go grind?

2. Which of my ARC and CONJ abilities should I also be using to supplement THM? Is that still a thing I can do?

3. How should I be allocating points?

4. I checked my mail and received a coerul mount, chocobo barding, my legacy chocobo, a baby behemoth minion and a potion to change my appearance. Are all of these things because I am legacy? Or are they things other people go too (other than the chocobo of course)? And why a coerul (sp?) mount? It seems kind of silly.

Oh and to be sure, I DO have to repeat all of the early stuff in the game, yes? I can't just pick up lvl 30 Bard and get going, I'll have to do low level quests and whatnot? I assumed so which is why I am going to lvl THM.

If/when you do want to get going with BRD, 1) you'll want to catch up on the ARC class quests, and 2) BRD is now ARC/PGL, not ARC/CNJ.

Man, I came on here to ask about this actually. Logged in and couldnt figure out how to switch to Bard. Why do more archer quests? If im level 30 shouldnt I start leveling pugilist now? Boy, Im confused on a lot of things!

Not 1.0 or legacy player here.

However I do heard that everyone who from 1.0 had to do all quest start over, even class quest even if theyre 50 level.
You need at least 10 level so you can unlock others class/craft, but since youre 30 I'd imange just do the main quest eventually you'd get there? Again, not 1.0 player sorry.

If you switched to THM Weapon and it label you as THM class, then I'd say you can just questing and everything fine. (There's guildhest, Levemete, Hunter logs, FATE, Dungeon, Main quest to level)

You get Coerul mount & Baby Behemoth from Collector Edition.
Legacy Chocobo is for people who played in 1.0 games. New player like me wouldnt them at all.

Basically, the entire system is completely new, so yes, you'd have to do all the low level quests all over again.

Optionally would be to just start over (like I did). I had a legacy character too, but he wasn't max level or anything, so I just decided to learn the game from the bottom again, rather than being a very confused mid-level.

Started yu ARR with ARC or THM? You should first do the lv10 class quest with the class you started to unlock the gear set feature and the questlines of the other guilds.

Only the legacy chocobo is because you have a legacy account. The potion is because you have a 1.0 account and many 1.0 players had problems with changing their character at the begin of beta4. The rest is CE bonus items.

I have a lvl 50 THM/BLM legacy character from 1.0, but I found it much more appealing to create him over again on a normal server and experience the game from the start. More fun. As for questing with THM, head to the THM guild in Ul'dah to follow the storyline there.

Awesome, I'll do that! And you started on a new server? Did you have a goobue? I would start on a fresh server but theres no way im giving up that mount haha.

You dont get Goobue on new char I believe, although you will get legacy chocobo on all new char you created. Just not Goobue.
