I'm don't have a PLD, but you might want to check out the TANK roles section of the forum, there are alot of useful tips that you can read there. Posting there will also get you more tips if if you have questions about tanking.

Most players are heavily restricted on their posts so the New Player forum is usually your best bet with a question as these forums have no post limits.

To answer Triciakitten,

There are some important things you need to consider.

Rotation
The Halone combo is your best agro combo for tanking.

Fast Blade-Savage Blade-Rage of Halone

I usually do this full rotation twice, followed by a Flash, if needed.


Weapon
Your weapon's level determines the amount of agro you get when using flash. You want to keep your weapon as close to your level as possible.

Flash
You need to pop this the instant you see adds and are charging into a mob. Usually I go with...

Shield Lob-Flash
As my opening skill.

Provoke
This taunt only puts you on the top of the agro list. You need to IMMEDIATELY follow up with Flash and your Halone combo.

Party
Between levels 10-30 a healer can actually over heal you quite easily. This will draw agro very fast. Its best to instruct them to not heal you until 60% to 50%.
