Warhammer had this problem too and they put in a barrier that only allowed 200 people in at a time. As much as it would suck to limit how many people can participate, NO one can participate if everyone floods the zone like that. I believe in that instance when you died you auto got removed outside the line to allow other people to get in and try.

And SE said they fixed this already bunch of liars
They also need a hide character function when it comes to Odin/Behemoth FATEs, maybe then they would actually render for once, lol.
i just got back in

It's absurd that this is happening. In 1.0 fighting Atomos made everything super laggy, even when practically the entire server was fighting him at once the server still never crashed. I imagine there are about the same amount of people fighting odin (for arguments sake we'll say more) but crashing the server? wtf SE? How??? just...how....how did you not plan for this?

A gating mechanism is what I thought as well, would piss off many but better than dc'ing mid fight.
Also punting anyone that dies would be interesting, no dropping the ball when fighting him.
Also making him only pop in certain zones that are just for "NM's" would be cool way to manage it.
Perhaps even seeing him and touching him ports you into an instance with a cap might allow the randomness and his walking around as he does.

i think the mechanic behind the fate of odin and behemoth must be rethink, on the paper is nice and all...
in reality, it's a pain.
maybe make the Fate give you acces to the fight that you can do like a primordial fight? for like 2-4 hours the fight is available if the people beat some fate around the area.
for odin, maybe beat 4 fate in 15 minute (all at the same time), one per area of the shroud. and if people do it, another fate appear, if they beat this one. the way to odin appear for 2-4 hours and people can try to beat it one time.
