Garuda has never been forgiving, even in her Trial-size battle. I tried fighting her back in Normal back in 1.0... no matter how hard we tried we could not not wipe when she did her 'wipe the field' move, the stones would take too much damage beforehand. And yes, that was with us killing the plumes. I don't see her being any different now (haven't gotten that far yet, still working up to Trial-size Titan).

None of the primals are really about lag as much as people want to complain that it is. They are about not doing them with terrible pick up groups.

Ifrit: DPSes just can't understand the concept of quickly killing a nail.
Titan: Stop falling of the ledge mages.
Garuda: Well. Too many different things for weak-minded pick up groups to pay attention to.

Garuda is the worst, if you're stuck with Duty Finder groups, then the best advice is to not get frustrated with the wipes. On my third try, I finally got a competent party. I don't mind if they fail a few times, but they're great when they can learn from their mistakes.

I actually found garuda to be the easiest.

-You're a higher level with access to high tier dps/defense/heals
-There's nothing that can instagib bar the ultimate attack and extremely easy to dodge mini stream attacks
-No ledges to get knocked off

battled her and here how the fight went
    first attempt!!!!!!!!!:
i ask them for any explaination on fight, they all just link a vid and tell me to watch it...after watching it i find out that they are explaining it in great detail to there friend when she asked(hits head on wall).
fight start, bards swapping from hugging pillar,to standing on me(leading to me and pillar dying from inc aoe on him.).We get to part where she does her ultimate and get wrecked from lack of plumes killed, pillars to low,and ppl running around to far apart for me to heal them in time.

4th,we actually get to her phase of ultimate, dps decide not to stack near me before it so i can aoe them(they keep LoSing behind pillars even when adds not up,so i have to run around just to cast cure..which takes time from keeping me and tank up.) she does ultimate,i manage to cap off everyone but myselfs hp and die, find out the tank, the lancer, and the bard dont have raise or any type of off healing moves. we wipe...

If you are doing the story quest one, it's really easy when you realize her teleports are always at the same place so you know where to run to for cover. She always teleports to her start position > entrance alternating each time she teleports. Also it helps a lot if your tank does their limit break when she does her ultimate move. Tell them to use it when she says THE RECKONING COMES!!! or something like that, it's a text box in the middle of the screen, you can't miss it.
