Any Warriors tank Caduceus split?

So the prevailing strategy seems to be to stop feeding him slimes after the split and just burn him. When he hits 2 stacks I just can't handle the damage. I have Relic and a good amount of Darklight with a few pieces of Hoplite from AK. With Defiance and the party buff I sit at 7k HP (6987 somewhere around there) and with the food I use I am at 7.2k. Is it pretty much just a PLD x2 fight? Or does the party have to continue feeding to keep the stacks down?

Have a SCH focus heals on you. 2 stacks is tankable with that gear.

Really a SCH? Interesting had the WHM on me SCH was on PLD, we'll have to try it tomorrow thanks .

Definitely SCH, their burst healing is in no way inferior to WHM especially since it's percentage based and you can always have WHM cast benediction on you if shit hits the fan. I've tanked Caduceus twice now and both time we had a SCH on me and the WHM on the PLD.

We'll have to try it next week, I can't be on tonight so they will most likely pull two PLDs to try and get it down. Cool place though, I hate that affirmation of everyone's fears that WARs do start to lose their viability end game but it is what it is, I love the WAR and the mechanics so I'll stick with it!!

My guild did it the other night with me as War tanking the split. Coincidentally I had our Scholar healing me, while our WHM healed the Paladin.


Running the same strat you posted, once the split occurs it becomes a DPS race and puts a LOT of strain on the healers.


The key is to ensure the boss is at zero stacks when it splits. With worse gear then you and food buffed at just under 6.5k HP I was able to stay alive at 5 stacks, at which point we killed my target.


That said, it's entirely possible we were carried by our healers, they are amazing.
