ARR needs more voiceovers (Main Story)

I love the voice acting in this game, but I wish that the entire Main Story had voiceovers. Yes, there are a lot, but sometimes it is sporadic. There are scenes that feel like there should be voice where there are none.

I don't know if it's intended this way or what. It just seems odd that some dramatic points in the story have no VO. I would like to see more voice added.

For those that already finished Main Story, they could view updated cutscenes with voice from the Neverending Journey in the Inn.

Additionally, while we are on the subject of voiceovers, I think it would be neat if the crafting/gathering Guildmasters have VO when you get a cutscene for completing a class quest. Nothing beats verbal praise for a job well done.

I don't think all of the main scenario needed voice over audio, that would mean the filler stuff would need to be also.....though I'd love hearing how a goblin would sound. Though yeah I felt that the non filler scenes with no voice overs kinda felt weird. I wouldn't be surprised if the way the voice overs are now is due square trying to keep the PS3 install as small as possible.

I get what you mean and understand the appeal, I really do, especially the part about some scenes potentially needing voice when there is none. The thing is... the more voiced content you add, the less meaningful it becomes. If you followed it, SWTOR was hailed for it's almost fully voiced content. People like me enjoyed that fact for a little while. Then... didn't really care except for certain specific characters or questlines.

Even with how FFXIV currently is, I skip the voices after I just read the text, instead of waiting... sometimes. There are many occasions, especially for story-goers, where your imagination does a far better job than the actual voice team. At least to me, it feels that way.
