    GP system needs an overhaul

    Unlike CP, which is fairly well done, GP has very few reasons to worry about increasing it. Outside of a few skills which require more GP than the base maximum(and learned at a high level) you don't need more GP, because the regeneration rate is the real limiting factor at most levels.

    I don't think the problem is the standing regeneration though, but rather you should gain more GP on each successful harvest. Normally when you are actively gathering a node, your normal regeneration stops and instead you gain 5 GP for each successful whack. I think GP gains per node should be considerably greater, probably 25. This would allow more regular use of skills, either one weaker skill per node or a stronger one every few. Gathering really should be more interactive and I think this would help a bit.

    That would also effect the market more causing HQ prices to fall even more than they currently have. I think they made it this way to help throttle the levelling process as more skill use will increase HQ rate and subsequently increase experience rate.

    I am on the fence with this one to be honest. Would be nice to use my skills more but I can see the definite downside to increasing the regeneration of GP.

    I am only lvl 29 miner but i always wondered whats the use of +SP? The most expensive skills i have need 400 SP while i have abt 430 or something. So lets say at lvl 50 u have 600 or whatever, doesnt matter - Once you used your skills and lost almost all your SP, whats the use of having 600+ SP? It doesnt matter if you have 600 or 800 or 1000 because after you lost the SP, a miner with 100 more or less SP makes absolutely no difference. The only right way for SP is SP regen per node. Stacking SP just doesnt make any sense.

    One option will be after one hq loot, you regain 10 GP points.

    Oter ones be include other stat like GP regen

    I believe it is fine just how it is. I don't think GP regen is for leveling and hitting HQs with a 30% chance every time on regular nodes. At lvl 50, you need around 400+ GP, to get 31%HQ/100%Hit Chance on the rare unspoiled nodes. If you're a high lvl miner going after rare nodes, then the 4 minutes it takes to recover 400 GP is plenty of time considering it's 12 minutes between each node spawn time. It seems to be a fair pace to me while also limiting the HQ items from regular nodes since if we could use our HQ skill every other node then NQ wouldn't really be worth even keeping around at the rate HQs would be flowing in, let alone worth selling (people already undercut badly due to having such an excess from grinding anyways). And the 600+ GP is needed to cast the 30% HQ+ skill along with Solid Reason for an extra hit (3 items per hit, 5 hits considering 1 is used for debris removal, and the +1 puts you at 6 hits for 18 possible HQ items).

    If you managed 700+ then you can go for the 30%+ and King's Yield which adds one extra item per hit (w/5 hits of 6 total, 4 per hit, chance for up to 20 HQ items from node). If you study the 4 nodes at each spot, you can pick up a pattern of when to hq, when to up hit chance, and when to leave it as is. We just need to learn the mechanics of our trade and the optimal way of going about it. But if I'm looking at this wrong, please feel free to point out my shortcomings.

    Sounds to me like the Endgame Gathering accurately reflects the current GP system but leveling Gatherers have no idea what that looks like. To us everything is about regenerating GP to use minor skills more frequently to get a maximized gather rate. Whereas later you have plenty of time to regen between the nodes you really want to exploit, where you needs a larger capacity to hit it with MANY strong skills simultaneously.

    Is that right? (I'm one of those lowish level gatherers that feels GP being regen-based)

    Id like to see them at least adding a "GP recovery rate+" stat to Gathering gear if anything at all. because as it is now, you use like 3 skills for 1 node and you're at 0 GP, drink Codinal for next node and then thats also a 4 minute CD. So then you just stand there gathering like crazy for that 5+ every time you gather, as your GP recovers at the speed of a snail.

    Yes, it's easily possible. I had 701 gp without food in heavensward. Takes quite a few gp melds, but very nice for getting the +15% gathering chance on the current latest unspoiled things, like chromite and palladium ore.
