Vote to kick. Can I have it?

I can't wait for this to be implemented, if it ever comes.

Today, for a perfect example we wiped on Ifrit HM. People were complaining about stuns not being used to interrupt the explosions. At which point people started calling me a "failure" for not interrupting "enough" of them. To which I replied "Look, I use my stun as much as I can. Sometimes its resisted, sometimes on cooldown."

An argument ensued about there not being a PLD in the party which was "needed" to do Ifrit HM.

During the arguing, one of the DD, a Dragoon who was an instigator in the argument said, "I'm going for a shit until one of you turds leaves." and went AFK.

I left, because I am not going to sit there with someone AFK on purpose.

This was not fair to me, and I feel that a VtK option would be perfect in this instance.

But there are too many players that would just kick someone that doesnt have super elite gear, someone that made one mistake or someone that want to watch cutscenes in last two story dungeons.

A vote kick system will be abused severely. That's why you would have to have restrictions. For example, WoW kick system allows you to kick anyone for any reason, but if you kick too many times, you have a cool down that's predetermined depending on how many kicks you initiate. Also, once so many kicks have been done in the same instance, kicking stops altogether as too many kicks have happened.

If SE implemented a kick system, it will need to have a lot of regulations and restrictions to keep abuse at a minimum. It's a slippery slope, but I think it's a system that's needed. Kicking offline people for example is a good use if they stay offline for too long, or someone who is being very rude and abusive.

People can really be jerks, but imo a vote to kick system would make things even worse then they are now.

It would need to be a unanimous thing, as in 7/8 agree to kick the 8th. No one is gonna stick up for someone just trolling but the odds are with 7 votes at least one person would do the right thing and stick up for an unfortunate newbie. The bigger issue at hand is we have too many man-children with the patience of your average toddler running around, but that's a community issue and no amount of work by the devs can fix that. Though a cross-server Blacklist would be handy, if you act like an ass 24/7 you might find those duty finder waits getting longer by the day.

Can't people who are the party leader just go to the party menu click the name of the person and kick them? I mean I do that when people are offline or trolling in groups

Like someone else said, I support the option of a vote kick, but I fear that it'll be abused severely. Especially against new people. :/
