    Another thing people need to consider, is the locking of servers is stopping the flow of Gil spammers creating new Spammer bots. That is why they have started resorting to hacking accounts, because they can't get in the game otherwise.

    Is it a perfect method? No. But until they can fix the problem with a more permanent solution
    This is what they have at their disposal.

    On top of what they mentioned before, with over congestion on servers.

    It may not stop the spammers, but it greatly reduces the no. of spammer bots. Yesterday, because Behemoth was open, there were at least 4-5 spammer bots in Ul'dah, normally when server lock, the most would be 1 or 2. That said, I hope more players come to Behemoth, because it's an awesome server.
