    Greetings acemlc,

If I may ask, is the trouble you are having similar to the one in the thread below?
    http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/70374

In this thread, there are photos of every step and it sounds similar to the issue you are having.
We have already accepted this issue and our development team is going to investigate it.
I hope this helps. I look forward to hearing back from you soon. Thank you!

    Regards,

What is the TV resolution you're playing at - there is an issue with keeping HUD settings when playing on Standard Resolution (non-HD) screen - in 480 mode. You can also take screenshots directly ingame by holding L1 and pressing Start. Those will then placed in your PS3's XMB in the Picture photo folders from where you can either copy them to the USB flash drive and then you'd need to upload them first to some picture sharing web site to be able to upload it here using the web link to the particular picture (I know it's a bit hassle but once you'll figure it out it's actually not that difficult anymore). If you use twitter or any other social app / site they also allow you to upload picture and provide you with the links to them.

yes that's exactly the problem. and i'm pretty sure my tv is not HD. everytime I log in it does say my resolution is at 480. but I don't have a choice atm with my tv. I understand they sell cheap TV's but I have a 2.5 year old son and I can't afford that atm and it's hooked up to a smaller tv so I can actually play the game while my wife watches tv. so a new tv isn't a option.
