So help me understand this new end game grind better

Thinking a game should have more than a couple dungeons has nothing to do with entitlement it has to do with standards. And perhaps it's not us who lack educations in the laws of supply and demand. These same complaints are made for every game. These same mistakes get made by every game after it. And then they wonder why the population flocks away after weeks and months. The demand isn't as strong as you think.

If someone really thinks that endgame is the biggest contributing factor to why people leave a new game, I don't think any amount of education on the interwebz will help them really understand. The people who complain about "nothing" or "not much" to do at endgame, with a game that hasn't been live for even a month, are a very... VERY small percentage. They just seem to think they're a majority because they're the loudest.

Go make suggestions, give them ideas for things you'd like to see.

All complaining is, is just that. Complaining, and nobody likes complainers.

Still, I do agree, it would be better if there were a few more dungeons to do with commensurate rewards. However, time has shown that the people are just going to do what's fastest and easiest for the most reward.

If you can't find something fun in the game, then it's just not for you, simple as that, and is the point I've been trying to make here.

This game is going to die ina few months if arbitrary grinds like this stay in place, so enjoy it while it last. Im sure they will just go back to the blizzard forums.

The game won't die, you people will leave for another game where it's easier to get endgame gear and circlejerk around in the major hub all day long.

I think people just have an unrealistic expectation of what a game 'should' have. You're so stuck on what it doesn't have that you aren't thinking about what it does. How can you reasonably expect a game to have more content on release than what it has? Would you prefer to not be playing at all while they took this couple months between release and 2.1 and just made 2.1 the actual release, so their could be more content for people like you?
Am I correct in thinking these perceived standards are not based on games when they are first released? It's absurd to expect this amount of content on release foe any game. And if you don't think there's enough to keep you busy, then go do something else for a few months or wait for the first expansion THEN play.

Be thankful there are regular large updates like 2.1, 2.2 etc that come with a sub game.

I played since 1.0 and I have all classes but 5 at 50, I almost have my second relic weapon, and I still play as much as I can all day because I love the game. I don't feel at all that I've even begun to run out of things to do..

This really sounds like a you problem, not a game problem.

My point was that these companies just keep doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Which is a bit illogical. I'm pretty sure I won't actually buy a month myself until 2.1 or 2.2 when a lot of the things i'm really looking forward to come out. Looking forward to the Golden Saucer, pvp, housing and vanity slots, etc. I'm a big fan of fun side things outside of the base Combat/Crating/Gathering that everything has.

i don't mind having to do the whole instance but does it have to be so excruciatingly boring?

like for instance those winged dog mobs take forever to kill as do the packs with a taurus in them. It's just plain boring, never feel at danger, never need to strategize, just watch tanks health bar and hit the heal button whenever it drops far enough

The dullahan's feel like what a mob in a 4 man dungeon should be like. Screw up and their cleave is super painful but otherwise a pretty fast paced fight

a feeling of forward movement is what is important imo, not just sitting on one trash pack for extended periods beating on it like a sack of sand

Actually, it is not. This is not public property and so your 'rights' are decided by the owner of the forum. Similar to how I could tell you the 'shut the fuck up or get out of my house' and then call the police when you don't leave, SE could decide that complaining about stupid shit is now against forum rules and ban you. Thus it is not your 'right' to complain but a privilege SE has granted you that could be taken away at any time if they so choose.
