    They picked thanalan because they know damn near every server's population lives there. It would be less noticable if they did it in the shroud or la noscea.

    I think this might be related but i am ingame atm and just did a levequest and an item droped for me called Deaspected crystal, description- This translucent crystal seems to have been completely drained of its elemental aspect.
    Seen some mention of this on the boards , anyone else had drops of this crystal?

    Yoshida's letter will probably shed light on the matter. I wouldn't expect actual patch until after the egg-tide ends though.
