Preface

I'm a daily forum reader and have run all dungeons up to my current level. There is a lot of hostility from players of all types toward players of all types. I've joined dungeons where the first question asked was whether I, the tank, am patient and not prone to committing acts of verbal abuse. There are also the stories of tanks and healers joining a dungeon simply to troll the group and leave, forcing the others to re-queue. Damage dealers in particular don't need this kind of treatment with queues being what they are. I've also seen plenty of vitriol thrown at damage dealers. As much as possible I'd like to help myself and others see as little of this as possible. My hope is to create a safe haven; a place where anyone, regardless of play style, experience, platform...etc can find people to join them in whatever aspect of the game without having to deal with those that don't seem to realize or care that there are human beings on the other side of their bile.

Hydaelyn's Hope

Hydaelyn's Hope is a free company starting from the ground up with a lot of room to grow. We are exceptionally small at the moment but hopefully with enough interest we will grow quickly. My hope is that at a minimum this FC will be a large community of kind and helpful people to draw from and make some friends. The ultimate goal, however, is to become an active organization partaking in all aspects of the game to some degree. The FC will ultimately become what the members want it to become. I, personally, am primarily a PvE player and intend to do large group and raid content at some point. I have no interest in world/server firsts or becoming the best at anything really, beyond maybe having the best place for people to get together and have fun. These are my goals, though, and don't dictate what the FC will eventually become. The only thing I will not allow the FC to become is anything other than the haven it is.

We currently have no voice chat or website, unfortunately. Once I see some interest, I will immediately make some kind of voice chat available. The website will likely wait until we get someone in that has experience with putting one together and managing it.

We do also have a linkshell for those that are already in a free company but would like to be a part of this community.
