RMT spam fixes need to happen sooner then later

I agree. I wish they would spend a little more effort to crack down on this. Seems rather silly with the way it is right now. The sad thing is though the reason it's like this is because there are always a lot of people out there who will purchase from them.

Seems to be the biggest problem on NA/EU servers. Mind you I haven't noticed them much on Chocobo server but other JP servers might be getting hit as bad as NA/Eu with them.

The devs should add a "block messages from player" feature just by clicking on the character name without having to blacklist him.

It would prevent from having a blacklist full of RMT when you actually need to blacklist a real player or not being able ( as OP said ) to see chat because you cant blacklist any more of them, which will sure happen at some point if nothing effective is done to get those parasites out of our game.

SE please help us stop the spam. Put in chat suppression and let us right click ignore on their name. Please. The spam flys so fast its hard to catch the names to blist them.

I second this. You have the abilities to send tell, invite to party or add as a friend but no add to blacklist feature? It's a pain trying to put these names on my blacklist, especially with me being on PS3.

Atm RMT 1 SE 0 Rmt atm is winning cause they made the general chat there's and SE took no real steps to make it easy for us players to block them.

They should add a method ala RealID from wow that blocks any message from any character from the account that you blacklisted ( or character).

Take a leaf out of CCP's book in EvE Online they have a one step right click, report RMT in the chat window, that reports and blocks in one action

Any of you guys/gals experiencing your blacklist failing? Countless times I've tried to add names to my blacklist, only for it to notify me that the name was already on my blacklist. What the heck? A few others on my server have complained of the same issue. I wouldn't want to see this issue get any worse.

I liked the system in FFXI WAY better than in FFXIV. When i made a report in FFXI a GM actually came to talk to me IN game. And it felt like i was actually heard. In FFXIV it's like i make a report and i get no response @ all. Nothing, not even a message. The same RMT has been shouting in Ul'Dah Markets for the past 12 hours. I do have him blocked, but i can see the character and the mouth moving constantly so i know he's still shouting. Just very concerned @ the pace in which GM's seem to react to such things as spam in populated areas. No way should someone be spamming in any area for 12+ hours and still be on the game.
