On unrelated (fairly) note: are primals still hard, or were they maybe nerfed/ppl got a hang of them? I'll be doing an approach to them in a couple of days, but I didn't have the time to view any serious guides (besides Ifrit). Ofc I'm asking about PLD point of view (I'm a bit worried about getting stuck on stunbot duty, it's always been my weak side tbh).

To be frank, Ifrit is a joke, and doesn't deserve the term hard mode. I'd say storymode Garuda is harder.

Speaking of Garuda, her hard mode is somewhat difficult for tanks. Take too much damage and healers will draw hate. Off tanks have the hardest job.

Titan is still very difficult, but tanks get an easy ride until post heart phase when shit gets real.

Well I can't say for titan, but ifrit and garuda are pretty easy. The real difficulty is usually from other party members not knowing what they are doing. And yes you will probably be stun bot on ifrit at some point and then again possibly on chimera for relic weapon.

FC BS made me melded weapon yesterday (costed me an arm and a leg...) and I was lucky enough to find a dedicated group for chimera - we ended up killing hydra in the evening with the roughly same squad. So now only primals stand between me & my relics, yay (and 900 tomes -_-').

Stunning/silencing on chimera wasn't so bad. On hydra we killed it with three tanks - not because it was needed, but ther weren't any dps avaialble. We've ended up facetanking hydra in twos to split Tiumvirate's dmg.

Is it normal that Warrior has 2k hp more than me? Or am I so undergeared...?

Regarding shields, certainly Flames have a chief seargent shield (round not kite but looks quite nice, swords strapped on etc) for 4k seals lvl 43 and 46 options, green quality. I assume other GC's have something similar?

As for warrior health, they will generally have around 25% more than you, just the design, not something to worry about through comparisons, PLD's run more mitigation than health.

I have had issues with Hydra through a combination of PUG woes and UK latency on NA servers, planning on solo tanking it with a full ranged group and spinning him, eases latency reliance!

I'm well aware of that, but I had like 4,5k to his 6,5k - so that's nearly 50%. He could have been overgeared but I'm not so sure - Lich EU is a fresh server, plus he was doing erm nevermind. Just checked his profile, his base is 5k flat, so maybe that were some temp buffs, dunno, I've not tried warrior/marauder myself yet.

Warriors have more natural VIT than Paladins do, so they have a significant amount of HP over Paladins. Defiance makes it even greater.

How important is crossing Stoneskin & Mercy Stroke (read somewhere it's a small DPS boost, marginal, but still...)? I'm not sure I want to spend time grinding to those late 20-30 levels if they won't have big impact on my game tbh.

Mercy Stroke is worth getting, imo. Stoneskin is our best CC skill, but it's only situationally useful. You can probably play PLD with no CC skills at all though and no one would care.
