So.. Can this Not happen? Because, as an Endgame scholar, I'd love to play summoner on the side... 30 mind doesn't help much with the damage you know... And having to use a Hymn every time I want to switch just doesn't seem right.

One solution (for SE to fix it) is to give ACN a skill like Cleric Stance that lets you swap INT and MND.
You could probably still do this by putting everything into INT (for your SMN) and using Cleric Stance when you are a SCH, but you get a healing penalty of 20% doing it this way, so its a wash...

bump? attention? This needs looked into![]()
I spent my points 15/15 because of this.
Its one way to specialize your character. Leave it as is. Besides, if you want to reallocate your stats, you can use 10k GC seals to do that. There is enough to choose from that we really dont need to change this.
As an aspiring ACN myself (in particular SCH), I have always strongly believed that attribute points should be looked at like gear. Unless you are very lucky (and if I'm to be honest, kind of greedy), you can't get gear for a healer and a DD at the same time. At some point, you're going to have to choose which one you want to really be, and focus on that. Those 30 points are not going to break your SCH nor your SMN. It will just indicate which one you prefer.
After all, you self identified as a "scholar, [playing] summoner on the side". Even if you could put those 30 points into INT when you were a SMN and 30 points into MND when you were a SCH, there's always going to be people who actually focused on SMN who are going to be better geared - and therefore have better stats - than you. Personally, I actually quite look forward to when I can officially declare myself a SCH and be rid of these trappings of a DD, though I understand not everyone feels the same. At least we can play both. That's leaps and bounds better than most games, without a job system.

I made a thread about this a few weeks back that got some attention, a few pages of replies. For me its a MASSIVE issue that needs to be addressed. In a game where its main attraction is the fact that you can play any and every class, and switch on the fly, this one little problem goes completely against what they offer.

I can play every other job in the game without penalty; but if I want to play scholar and summoner I have to spend 10,000 GC seals every time I switch? That's absurd.
I went 20int/10 mind.
I play SMN and SCH equally and notice no real difference in my ability to DPS or heal.
You can get away with it IMO due to the fairy being and amazing healing pet.
I'm putting all my points in INT and using Cleric Stance when partying as a SCH. I realize it's not exactly ideal, but you hardly have to spend 10k seals, even if you do think those 30 points are important...
