PVP??????

so i read somwhere that devs said that less than 15% of player pop will pvp, so they arent making it a priority,,

lets show them that pvp is not only wanted, but needed to give this game more staying power. it needs to be more of a priority to the dev team or they will end up losing a lot of players on release of 2 games slated for release within the next 6 months.

Have you seen the gear specifically rewarded to you through PVP? It looks really good.

A lot of people on the forums are suggesting it's not going to be that important. I beg to differ, because the devs have been vocal about giving it a try. I'm not going to hype it up to GW2 standards, but I do think it will surprise people.

Maybe they want to stray away from the common mentality that "FF games were never about pvp."

Not me. I won't lose any sleep if they never implement PVP.

It's going to be released in the first patch.

As Orophin said, it's going to be released in the future. They aren't making it a priority, but they will add it, and they plan to have a separate set of skills that you earn through PvP - i.e. they plan to make PvP an entirely separate part of the game so it doesn't affect PvE. As a person who enjoys PvP in MMOs, I'm quite okay with this.

(And can we please get people to stop saying "FFXIV is going to do badly unless the developers make this feature that I want!"?)
