Regarding character name restrictions.

So I couldn't find an answer on this anywhere which is why I'm asking here, hoping someone might know. So I keep trying to make a character with the name that is also my Square Enix account name. It won't let me use it, and there's no one in that server or any server with that name, nor is it a vulgar word in any language. Are you not allowed to use your account name as a character name? If so, then I kind of find this stupid because I would have used a different account name so I could use this as a character name.

At a guess I would be inclined to think it's because you are trying to use your account name. Personally, I wouldn't name a character after my account name anyways, due to the amount of accounts that are being hacked...

Sorry if I've misunderstood (and I have no idea what your account name is, nor do I need to know what it is), but all characters have to have a first name AND a last name (and to the best of my knowledge the account name doesn't allow spaces in it).

Again I apologise if I've misunderstood, but if you're trying to create a single name only, that won't work, you need both first and last names.

Well for example if my account name is "Aids" and I put Aids in the first name field and whatever in the last name it will not work. However if I put Aidds (pretty much spell it incorrectly) and whatever last name, it will work. So the problem is with using the name that's the same as my account name. So far it seems like it won't let you use it but I'm just guessing, I wish Square Enix had an official statement regarding this so I know for sure. Or if there would be a way to change the name of my Square Enix account.
