Is something wrong with /shout?

So far the entire day there have been no gil spammers spamming /shout on Gilgamesh. Good thing, yes. However, I noticed NOBODY ELSE seems to be using /shout either. I haven't, in fact, seen a single thing said by anyone in /shout all day on Gilgamesh. I haven't changed my settings or hidden /shout, and when I tried to do a /shout I was able to see mine just fine. Am I missing something?

It's not working for me on Faerie server either. say and yell seem to not work either.

About 4 hours ago SE posted a status update that they had recovered from a similar problem on Mandragora and Gungnir worlds. ("During the following time period, players on several Worlds were occasionally unable to use the shout, yell, and say chat properly.")

Maybe it's similar. And/or maybe it's due to countermeasures against the runaway gil seller spam shouts we've had for the past weeks.

Well it isn't addressed because we can't use it on Gilgamesh. It cuts out for a few minutes at a time, shout, say and custom emotes

I haven't seen a shout on Faerie since server maintenance. An acknowledgement from SE would be nice.

Thank goodness they are addressing the constant spamming of the Gil Pirates..they have made shout impossible to use. I hope that the fixes include a lock out for spamming, by ANYONE....of these chat features...not just spammers. If you have a ton of text to publish, use your own LInkshell or use voice chat. I am very glad they are working on this. Death to Gil spammers.

This has happened to me as well on Faerie server. Was working fine just until Thursday night. Currently not able to see /shout and /say. /tell and /party work just fine.
