I am actually surprised SE has not fixed all the accounts by now.

Mine was fixed after 9 days of waiting (1st contact 27th Aug - Fixed 6th Sept or so)
I would imagine the SE Live Chat and/or Phone support is now somewhat calmer than it was during the height of this issue, so may be worth giving them a shot again.

Right click, and Copy Link Location, then paste into your browser bar.
Replace the TICKET wording with the ticket number. For NA ensure the link ends with either 5/1 or 5/5. Any links ending 5/2, 5/3 or 5/4 go through to EU support.

And somewhere in the old necro thread are phone numbers, and links to the ticket to fill in.
