    Summoner Macro discussions

    Hi there !
i opened this thread to discuss about macro for our loved SMN because i searched very much on google but never found one
i really think that smn isnt impossible to macro for all different durations of dots and i have to say i didnt study macro commands to find a way but most of smn i talked with are agree with me

but...im not a master genius in macro stuffs so maybe someone of you found some "tricks" via macro to semplify some things

only i think can be usefull in dungeon is a sort of macro that constantly repeat rouse every minute (when u can recast in 60 second of course) but there isnt a way to create a loop macro so can be a little workaround writing 10 times rouse with a 1min pause
i didnt try this yet let me know what u think about this and post ur macro \ ideas for macro we can work on it all together and find our way to simplify our buttons spamming like we are plaing piano :P lol

thx for ur partecipation and sorry for my bad english

I haven't really found anything currently that would increase time via a macro sadly :/

I wouldn't do that for a few reasons....

First you are possibly wasting Aetherflow if you aren't have a stack, and you could fester without having the 3 dots up on the boss.... idk

I don't understand why you would need a macro for single ability. It's one command you can simply bind to a hotkey and hit it whenever it's off cool down.

Something like this could possibly work but then the macro would break once you use another macro or you are casting another spell:

    /ac "Rouse" <me>
    /wait 60
    /ac "Rouse" <me>
    /wait 60
    /ac "Rouse" <me>
    /wait 60
    /ac "Rouse" <me>
    /wait 60
    /ac "Rouse" <me>
    /wait 60
    ...

There's only three macros I really use:

    DOTs:
    /ac "Bio II" <t>
    /wait 2.5
    /ac "Miasma" <t>
    /wait 2.5
    /ac "Bio" <t>

    Cure:
    /ac "Physick" <mo>
    /ac "Physick" <tt>
    /ac "Physick" <me>

    Focus Fire (targets tanks target):
Use Shift+F on the tank first to set focus target
    /target <f>
    /assist

    Edit: Forgot this one:

/ac "Eye for an Eye" <mo>
/ac "Eye for an Eye" <tt>

The reason why people put several single skills in to 1 macro is its easier to do the rotation hitting 11111 instead of 1 2 3 2 4 1 5 3 2. for example i have

    /macroicon "Heavy Shot"
    /ac "Heavy Shot" <t>
    /ac "Bloodletter" <t>
    /ac "Misery's End" <t>
    /ac "Internal Release" <me>
    /ac "Blood for Blood" <me>
    /ac "Raging Strikes" <me>
    /ac "Hawk's Eye" <me>
    /ac "Barrage" <me>

this way i use all my dps cooldowns as they pop up for max overall dps and i dont have to worry about using them 1 by 1 as they pop up. And it will always use my dps cooldowns while i am on global cooldown!

Keep it up! You'll do great with that macro!

Try putting Misery's End above Bloodletter in the priority list. It resets the CD for Misery's End so you can use it more often and for multiple mobs it will allow you to save Bloodletter for the next target. If Bloodletter kills the target while Misery's End is up and then you switch targets you lose some DPS.

The only macro that makes sense to use is one that casts Rouse, Spur, and Enkindle in a simple /ac rouse /ac spur /ac enkindle setup for dps purposes. The Physick and Eye for an Eye macro's posted for support should be baseline for everyone.

The rouse/spur/enkindle macro is still suboptimal until addons come out to better help you track CD's since each having their own macro with an echo line would be "best" case, but nobody has space for the 23 buttons that shit would require.

I highly discourage cast sequence macro's as they break as soon as you need to do something in between them. DoT cast sequence macro's are even worse as the timers for the DoTs are NOT the same. A true mark of terrible if you ask me if it's used for anything but grinding.

I do not know of any other class that will end up with ~25 buttons when it's all said and done that we actually will situationally use (except maybe Miasma II as although it looks "better" than a ruin when paired with contagion on paper, it does require you to be in melee range) and as such have quite a steep learning curve. If you want me to list all 25 I have no problem doing so sadly.
