Duty Finder Language Filter

Hi All,
Need clarification on whether the duty finder language filter is working properly.

If I sign up to a dungeon as an English player (profile set to E)
but select J and E in the language choice in the duty finder - can I potentially be matched against Japanese players, whose profiles are only set to Japanese (J) and who have signed up to the dungeon with THEIR language filter only set to Japanese (J)?


Or will the game do some smart work and only put players together whose PROFILES languages match the duty finder language filter options for others signing up?

It works better for JP players than others because many of them do speak some English, at least more than enough to be able to play in a group in an MMO, so many of them can flag JE whereas relatively few non-JP players speak Japanese. SE's answer is the auto-translate feature but TBH it's a pain to use if you're the odd one out.
