<UNITY> - A progression FC coming to Brynhildr

My name is Steel. I'm a former hardcore player that's come out of my 'casual play' retirement to enjoy FFXIV to the fullest. Although I'd be leaving my current FC (which has coil turn 4 on farm and has gotten Twintania, the final boss in the game, to >10%), I will be server transferring to Brynhildr this upcoming wednesday October 16th in order to found a brand-new company, and use my buttloads of gil to build an incredible home for all of our members come 2.1.

The goal of <Onion Knights> is simple - end-game progression without exclusion. We don't care if you're on PS3 or PC, and we won't fill raids with nothing but summoners and black mages instead of dragoons and monks regardless of what the current content favors.

We believe that victory without your friends is hollow and pointless, and the pretty pixels you earn are only as valuable as the memories that come with 'em.

We don't believe in giving up.





We're looking for players who have the enthusiasm and drive to see every boss the game has in store, not only for coil but for months and even years to come. However, all players must be able to communicate over a mac/PC program such as Mumble or Ventrilo for raids, and should be relatively comfortable speaking.

I've chosen a small and new server because it has a FOUNDATION for greatness, a smaller pool where only a few truly awesome players will be the ones swimming to the surface.

Hey Steel, let me be the first to welcome you to Brynhildr! We don't have anything quite as cool as Turn 4 on farm but we do have a pretty solid community, one of the benefits of a smaller server. The FC's here have a pretty good relationship I think you'll enjoy once you're transferred. Look me up in game and I might let you pet my tai... INTRODUCE you to people, that's what I meant... Thanks, Zoomie! Very much lookin' forward to running through the streets of Brynhildr with a jack-o-lantern on my head come tomorrow! I'm certain I'll get along famously with the other FCs if folks are as friendly as I've seen so far in my brief time scouting out the server.

Thanks for all the friendly welcomes, folks. I've been touched by all the people that dropped me a line to say welcome....almost as much as I was physically touched by all your bushy-moustached swimsuit-wearin' lalafell gents in the last few hours. o_0 There's some weird customs in these neck of the woods!


The tricky part about forming this FC, of course, is that I can't promise anything, and I'm sure as hell not going to recruit people just for the sake of recruiting.
Joining Unity for progression's sake alone is probably a bad idea - with tons of other servers actively searching for dedicated players, there isn't a lot of reason for you to consider joining a smaller FC just because they want to form a coil group. Heck, I fully expect a week or two of gearing up new 50s before we can even consider it.

But I think that's okay. Like I told one interested party, short of Twintania everything is pretty do-able right now, and it'll only get easier in 2.1. Starting slower is alright if it means we get to finish strong.

What I CAN promise you - Sel Rin, Crint, Geonice, and everyone else reading this - is that if you're looking for a home for the forseeable future, and not just a team of 8 people grouping together for convenience sake because allagan gear is hawt, we can provide that. I can personally promise you dedicated organization, hands-on knowledge of every fight in the game, several well-geared members to lead the way, and a set of raiding ideals that mean we won't leave people behind.
