Leveling Mining from 20 to 25

Hey folks,

I'm working on my mining class, and I've run into a bit of a roadblock. I'm level 20, halfway to level 21, and I'm trying to figure out what I should do to get to level 25. I was hoping that, once at 20, I'd have the level 25 nodes unlocked, but so far, no dice. I'm trying to figure out if I need to be level 21 to unlock them, or a level between 21 and 25, because I know I can unlock higher level nodes before reaching the "minimum" level. I've done it before.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

You have to be level 21 before the level 25 nodes are available. You can either grind level 20 nodes or do leves. Personally I've been doing leves to level up since it moves things along quicker, and my gather rate is too low to be reliable on silver ore, which is what I'm going after next for my goldsmith.

As far as I can tell there are no Leves for Mining beyond level 15, if anyone knows of any I'd appreciate the info.

Other than doing the daily provisioning for your grand company (hand in HQ stuff where possible, you can only do it once a day so make the most of it) I have discovered no way to speed up the mining process other than to buy the field manuals from the Grand Company quartermaster.

Lvl 28 Mining currently, I think I might stop trying to level it once I can get Mithril, which should be in 8 levels (I think).

Quarrymill has Leve for mining. Believe it is level 20 mining quest. 2 of them.

I do believe, however, that you are required to do a Battle Leve to unlock them, so keep that in mind if you are leveling you Miner ahead of your Disciple of War/Magic.

If you have a lot of patience, or a lot of alcohol, just mine iron until you hit 21. I think I got 3-4 full levels from mining iron in my teens and level 20.

Iron is used in frankly obscene amounts to level both Blacksmith and Armorer, since it's needed for both the "iron tier" and the "steel tier." If you don't plan on playing either of those DoH classes, sell it on the market; I'd be very surprised if you couldn't sell it for a pretty penny. I think it goes for around 35-60g per piece on Faerie, though I've never actually bought any.

Silver ore is a nice way of doing 21-26.

It's also available from an NPC vendor for 18 gil each. I'd mine something more valuable.

dont know if you know this but if you look at the leve's from the crafts home town (like goldsmith in uldah) there will ALWAYS be one leve that takes you someone where not in the city... that location is where the other equivalent level leve's are (for more options on what to hand it)
