    If someone can actually avoid an AE by moving out of the red circle when it's say 0.1s from done, then this means this person also must NOT be able to move without interrupting their spell with 0.1s or more left to cast since both mechanisms function due to the same design principle. So is there anyone who can actually interrupt their own spell the moment they move? Even a cursory look at how people sort of glide across your screen should convince you that the world you're looking isn't actually up to date, and if you screen doesn't reflect the true world, it should never be possible to get out of an AE with 0.1s to spare, simply because the information on your screen is wrong.

    At 6:21 landslide cast begins
    At 6:22 player leaves aoe with cast bar at 75%

    They were out of the red area well before the cast bar finished. They still get hit. There are many more examples in this thread, like Sunarie's 2nd video about 10 pages back, and heaps more in the 100+ pages of this thread. It is broken.

    So not attacking you, but you say we can avoid getting hit if we pay attention to the cast bar, if moving out at 75% doesn't save us, what does? I think that moving out at 75% should be safe, but yet we still get hit.

    There's also Turn 5 twister phase which from the looks of it appears to be plagued by the same exact issue.

    I'm almost one month in, and my time will expire. I'm probably not subbing due to this. I'm not getting cheated out of my time and effort.
    Extremely aggravating to move, and still get hit.
    You see it all the time in the ability to cast a spell and move before it finishes, and it doesn't interrupt. It's quiet pathetic.

    Since the server only polls the client every 0.3s, there's at least a 0.15s delay on average. Suppose Weight of the Land takes 1.5s to cast, you need to assume you don't have the last 0.15s on average, and potentially up to 0.3s. It's probably more than that due to some other reasons (just look at how people move on your screen) but it's certainly no less than that. Yes, sometimes the client will manage to tell the server "HEY I MOVED" before the server calculates the hit, but that's hardly reliable. The issue isn't just lag but rather the client has no authority. In any other MMORPG, if you cast something, and then move, your client says, "HEY I KNOW THAT'S NOT POSSIBLE!" and interrupt your spell. In FF14, your client does not have authority. It actually checks with the server to see if that's possible, and due to the same lag, sometimes your server says 'NO PROBLEM' despite doing something that should be impossible from the client's POV.

    That part should be living anywhere outside the area of the servers. I'm on the West Coast and get this issue as well

    I'll put my hat in the ring here as well. Frankly I've avoided Coil for two reasons, the primary one being that Turn 5 is not so much hard as it is broken due to the server constraints overwhelmingly resounding in this thread. Like many others have said before me, and many more will say after me... This is game breaking. The game has so many strong points, please don't be miserly about fixing something so intrinsic to the otherwise enjoyable system.
