We need an EU data centre. However, chances of that happening are just too slim unless we have a very large EU population increase.

Stop deviating the issue please, it's already been stated and proven it has (in the major part) nothing to do with the inexistence of an EU datacentre.
yeah, fucking bots everywhere....
Nevertheless, we need an EU datacentre.
They deleted it.For anyone wanting to take this issue to their social media, FFXIV keeps reposting the same "Buy what IGN calls a great MMORPG!" stuff on their Facebook as a highlight. I've made the following comment:
"Jesse David Great game. AWFUL NET CODE. Don't expect anything sort of snappy game play from this MMO. Dodging AOE and using instant cast abilities in this game are years behind the other MMOs on the market." · September 19 at 8:06am
So far it only has 4 likes, but I think if we can get it to the most upvoted commented on their facebook page they might get a little worried and become a little bit more communicative.
Here's the link to advertisement I'm talking about:

Sorry, but some of us don't enjoy the nice little 200-250 ping to Canada, while in every other game that has EU based servers I considered ping over 50-60 bad-ish.
While it's not the only issue, it just compounds with other issues to create a lag-fest (for some players at least).
Other games having EU servers and you having low pings, doesn't imply that the low ping to the other game's EU dataservers is the reason for no delay.Sorry, but some of us don't enjoy the nice little 200-250 ping to Canada, while in every other game that has EU based servers I considered ping over 50-60 bad-ish.

It IS true that EU datacentres would help, but this comes AFTER.
Having new Datacentres is probably 5% of the real and serious issue going on in here. Yes, it would help, but you would not notice it, trust me.
What would help is they fixing their shitty network coding, then with the current server-pings we would have a standard and acceptable MMO; I could live with that. Now if people considers that we need shooter-like MMOs, and PvP wants to be treated seriously and competitive, and the mechanics require faster pings, THEN it will be the time about changing datacentres.
Well last night I had the most lag I have seen in any game for many, many years. I could not dodge any attacks, now maybe like some have said in other post's that I may fall into the category of just not being very good or just a little slow... but even if that were the case, surely even a bad player can have a lucky dodge every now and again???
So for me SE has 1 month to sort whatever it is that is making what would be an awesome game into the piece of crap it is... There is no way I'm going to pay a monthly fee for something that is clearly not working....
This game is focus on Graphic rather than somethings behind the user's front end.
As a network programmer (not for game), I understand/guess a bit about the problem and think that they cannot fix this problem soon.
Unlike some "high quality" games (from blizzard) this game does not have the network compensation and all the "action logics" are acted and controlled on server.
In order to reduce the action lagging, the logic should be in client side and be controlled by server (it means that server would observe the clients actions and roll back few seconds if it detects the actions is abnormal).
To fix the problem they need to redesign the gaming network architecture of the whole game. It costs time and money, therefore they did mention the problem long time ago but not fixed it till now.
I guess I will have a long time break for the fix.
I'm having a hard time with lags too. Titan is just a matter of luck at some point.
I know the order of its attacks so I anticipate, but it can only take me so far...
I really hope SE fix this because once I start doing harder stuff with my FC i don't want to be a dead weight.
I want hard content, but I also want the means to takle it!
Did a mod ever responded to this issue? I might have missed it, but I feel like we're being ignored.
