I've actually played a lot of MMO's so I can tell you from experience all the others never had a lag problem like this. For a triple A production its unacceptable.

This is a gross generalization of what people are complaining about in FF14. The 'serious' discussion here is not about whether there is lag per se - it is the *type* of lag that impacts on gameplay in FF14. In wow, when there is lag, the player loses control over their toons (i.e., they can't move it or cast anything) and then dc's. Visual cues are still *accurate*.

In FF14, players see their toons move but it actually isn't moving type of lag. This type of lag is more serious because it makes visual cues for handling boss mechanics or casting/movement unreliable. This becomes a problem when you have 1-shot dodge mechanics - it has to be 100% reliable. How so? You won't know whether you have moved (even though visually you have) or not until you have DIED.

Just checked in if they fixed it... looks like NOPE.
Bought the game and never subbed because of this... I was hoping it was fixed by now so I can get back to playing.

I'll check again in a few months... but I kinda fear that I won't be back until it goes F2P.

It's different.
Those game had lag problems here and there. Here, it's always on (for some people).
Their was lag, this one is a faulty programming.

The fact that, as of now, 748 people have "Liked" the original post should really say something. That's a LOT of Likes. Hell, 200+ would have been a lot. And that doesn't include the subscribers who don't frequent the forums and are having similar issues.

Secondly, It doesn't happen for me. I wonder where that faulty programming is at when I sit down to play and it's all lag free. Damn that faulty programming for providing me a fun game to play!
