    No this here is the problem. Even if a powerful skill is chained or spammed there should always be some way to mitigate, avoid, block or live through the chains. If a boss spams his most powerful skill then yes everyone should have to be on their toes and not miss at all when countering the move whereas if he doesn't spam his most powerful skill you have more leeway for errors. Even bosses have bad days and have days were they are more "on their toes".

    That is why I used abbot from DDO as an example, this raid has a rather high fail rate when the raid group is full of newbs or peeps that are inexperienced with he raid. I have been in groups with newbs or peeps that were just tired or not paying attention and 3 spams of inferno wipes the groups and I have been in other group where over 3 inferno does not.

    The problem is with the 300ms built in lag these become a dexterity check and that in my book isn't skill. Knowing the fight is going to go 1-2-3-4-5, do the achy breaky dance move to the left, move to the right and 1-2-3-4-5 rinse repeat because it is always the same isn't skill.

    Knowing how to dodge, avoid mitigate etc etc all a boss skills regardless of whether it's1-2-3-4-5 or 3-2-5-4-1 or 5-4-3-2-1 or 3-5-2-1-4 is skill to me. This to me is skill, it shows a conscious control and knowledge on how to avoid hits and whatnot.

    What we have now is memorizing scripted chains and muscle memory. If that was what I wanted I wouldn't be playing a mmorpg.
