This is a very real issue that needs to be resolved and has a lot less to do w/ end user hardware as it has to do w/ netcode and animation implementation. For example, here is my ping to CA.
My computer is a 2600K @ 4.5, 2 GTX 580's in SLI, 16 Gigs of Kingston HyperX @ 857 (8-9-9-27-2T), a Asus P8p67 Pro mobo and the computer is hard lined into the router with CAT5E at a distance of literally less than 4 feet and I still have this issue *constantly*. For what it is worth my computer hits 15K+ on the benchmark and I *still* cannot tell you how many times I have been hit by AoEs that I have moved out of or died to an LoSable attack when on my screen my dead character is *clearly* LoSed from the target (looking at you Garuda).
