I watched this video really closely and that's what I saw. People who have defeated Titan have already come up with a way to bypass this and it is to try to cast another spell when you've gotten out the AoE ability or just dont cast anything at all and just run out of it.
Yes i think that's true. I've suggested that a simple way to fix the problem would be for the client to send a position update when the player crosses the AoE boundary, which has the same affect as what you're describing.

It would probably solve the problem for a lot of people.
