clearly no one understands how red areas work. you just need to be out of the circle by the time that cast bar completes. You trying to run out of the circle and lets say, that cast bar completes, and you are still inside it, but the animation delays, and before you see the explosion, you have now run a little further and are way out of the red area that is no longer there, but you still get hit, and you all continue to go DUURRRRR HUURRRR why am i getting hit.
Because the game doesnt care where you are when the animation happens, it cares where you are when the cast bar finishes. Dude you can run out of that red area, and as soon as the cast bar is finished, run back into where the red area was, and when the animation happens, it doesnt hit you, because you werent in the red when the cast bar finished. Its hard to explain but its so easy to dodge shit in this game, its obvious the majority of you people dont know what your trying to accomplish when dodging red areas.

you can easily test the above post on a duluhan in AK. When he does that sweeping swing with the conal red area, just try this, and maybe you can understand how it works. Be completely outside the red area when his cast bar finishes that move. And it takes a while for his big ass sweeping animation, so after hes done with it, run in front of him, and notice how that attack appears that it would stomp your face, does absolutely nothing to you, becuase you were out of the red when the cast bar finished. Now try the opposite, stand in the red, somewhere near the very edge, and when that cast bar finishes, run your ass for miles away, and notice that his slow ass animation afterwards, romps your face, because you were in the red when that bar finished.
Bashkarthegreat please read moreyou are totally wrong.
Did you think that the 86 pages are complains of the people that were unable to move fast enough from the red zones?![]()

Bashkarthegreat, do you know how difficult it is to dodge something that isn't even on your screen yet? or taking damage when you're clearly out of the danger zone? Notice how some people seem to KO waaay to the side of where the plume was? or how they slide way off to the side when they get hit by Landslide? Those people are lagging and have to put in an extra 10% in their already 100% effort just to avoid an attack they can't see yet.
Surprisingly though, whenever I join a PuG who can make it to the fifth phase, I'm usually the last one standing (with a healer and tank). I guess I've failed Titan enough times to learn the pattern as well as when to pre-dodge... which is still not an acceptable gameplay mechanic.
PS: people look out for what appears under their feet, not what's over Titan's HP bar.
If the red areas are as good as useless I would rather they were just removed from the game, I know its an option but if they are literally there tricking people into thinking they are safe they should be removed altogether! Having learnt to avoid attacks for years on other games just from a text prompt I know I can do this but to have a conflicting cast bar and danger area on the same screen is just asking to screw people over.
At this point as well as I add to my daily bump of this thread I am not even reading the opinions and caring about people who say you are basically rubbish if you can't do the fight I am waiting for my reply from SE as are many because if they can reply to some vanity rubbish thread after three pages they can reply to what is for some people game breaking before it reaches 100 pages...
At any rate the animation should be better synced to the cast bar. Animation wind up during casting and explosion/hit as the cast bar gets to 100%. In one of Yoshi's earlier 'letter from the producer' he talked about how he wanted players to be able to play the game by watching the characters and animations, not staring at the chat log.
That reminds me of trying to evade Coincounter's Glower in Aurum Vale...except you don't get a mark on the ground, and that's not even truly endgame. This thread could be more aptly named; the problem permeates the entire game.EDIT: Thanks to the person who added this link to the discussion:

The one thing i tried to do, is to play the game like EQ, with 1st person view
But no, no way, you can't even see the red circle unless you look down
Can't we have some warning (even just in 1st person view) for example that there is a red boarder around your screen (during red circle), and when you are out of it, it will be gone?
Hello Mister who thinks he knows what the problem is! Maybe if you actually read the thread and find my post with a screenshot that I provided of me out of the circle while the cast bar isn't complete yet but still getting hit regardless would help clear that ignorant mind of yoursI believe not only me has provided a similar screenshot of the same scenario! Now let's stop acting smart without reading the thread cause it will only make you like an idiot in the end lol.
