I love that analogy. You don't actually need that clutch. Good drivers just shift at high RPM without the clutch. If you grind the gears it's because you're bad.
Agree with what -Magister said.It works fine! You just have to pull this lever, kick the dash, honk 3 times, NOT FOUR, push this button, that's it hold it, and now we turn the key! See works great!
The 'white knights' sound just like used car dealers, yes you can make something function at minimal capacity with tricks and workarounds, not the point, I am buying something, it should work without all the tricks.
Yet, this thread after so long and so many pages, no one from SE rep dare to acknowledge the issue or communicate with the player base.
Such disappointment for the so called AAA game studio which charging monthly sub.
Not to mention that other F2P/B2P dev replies and communicate with player base more often and faster than SE.
I don't play a mage much so made sure to test this before I spoke any further, but no you're misunderstanding.
If you and I are fighting, Monk v Blackmage and both locked on to each other, that allows me to easily circle strafe around you, but if you cast a spell at me, it will auto-face me, however, if i run around you while you're casting your character will not keep looking at me and if you finish the cast while i'm out of whatever conal range they have set, your casting will be interrupted.
If I'm not locked on you I can just run back and forth through you.
If this is indeed the case (that a caster being locked onto a character who moves through them midcast will not turn to face them) then circle strafing will never interrupt spells. It would be too game breaking since controllers don't have the right mouse button to turn the character without moving them. But this is a discussion for another thread.I don't play a mage much so made sure to test this before I spoke any further, but no you're misunderstanding.

But it does with mobs already.
And this is SE.
We're currently 54 pages into your thread where you have to predict a fight because dodging "red" zones, fundamental to the combat of this game, isn't working.
So yeah, it will probably launch that way and mages will never be able to get a spell off unless their target is bound, slept, far away, or not a good pvp'er.
And think about the melee too. You run up to someone and attack. They are right in front of you but the server says the attack fails, "out of range", because the enemy player moved during the lag+latency.
No sort of acknowledgement yet, huh? Rediculous.
They can keep pretending its all ok, and ignore this thread. But once more and more people get to 50 and starts experiencing this frustration, they better have an answer ready.
-from someone done titan multiple times, and can avoid 90% of the time, i still think this is NOT ok
why do the other threads with 8 page or so gets a community rep response while this is still being ignored?
I'm quite sure they are aware of the problems though I don't know what's being done or what's at fault. But when we do instances we start to lag and get spikes (we are all playing from Sweden btw). Sometimes it's just one or two of us that have issues and sometimes it's everyone. Titan always seems to lag (normal) and it's alot more punishing on this fight than any other.
Anyways, they have very little time to fix these issues with lagging servers, people are supposed to sub in a week and I doubt many will stand for this. My friends and I haven't come as far as many others have (~lvl 38) and we will sub for one more month as there is still more content to see but I doubt we will continue to sub after that if the technical issues aren't fixed very soon.
