    So I'm in Titan HM he drops his little rock clock bombs and the go off. I run to the clear area WITH THE GROUP (on my screen) and drop dead. Wth!? I get yelled at for running to a bomb and dying. Booted! To me it looked like nothing killed me. I was running with everyone, yet I die and they all don't. Btw I'm on the ps3 and this just started happening today. For me between the bugs in the game like this and the super elite player community I'm juuust about done.

    I haven't gotten to Titan HM yet because I'm still stuck at Ifrit Hm trying to get my weapon
    I run clear of the aoe along with everyone else way before they move and I'm the one who takes damage. I am always told move out of aoe next time. Well umm I did. Or at least on my screen I did. I can be standing 5 feet away from him and I still get hit when he rushes across screen. But nope I'm told I'm in his aoe. Then next time I'm same distance and I'm fine. It does help when my fc tells me to move. But haven't been able to run with them every time.
    I end up feeling stupid in the end because I die half way across the screen to me at least.
    And yesterday it was just made worse when tank decided to start being a jerk towards female players saying we aren't supposed to be gamers anyways that we should get back in the kitchen where we belong.

You don't release a game with a similar monthly fee while offering what is clearly mechanically inferior to WoW. The final kicker is ARR even managed to have a terrible tab-target system, too! How do you even mess up tab-target? How?!? SE knows, apparently.
    Wow. Great post Unruhe. My brother said something similar just the other day. Harsh, but so true.

    Come on SE, you can do better than this.

    Don't see a Dev bothering to answer after 47 pages. Yup I guess WE are not every important. They probably think at that point that with time we will just get tired of spamming them and move on... Not gonna enter my card to subscribe with such HEAVY burden on me. I do have an excellent connection and a very good pc. Throttling isn't an issue. I don't have problems from running out of ifrit neither garuda ( sorry if others do). But Titan is an issue. Every almost instant or too big aoe which center me is an issue to run out from as a healer UNLESS i do not heal! Woot... a healer which rather to save her life over healing cause the coding on spells is purely crap.... Yes I'm gonna go extremely far inside the game with that kind of mentality of yours Se. When you are out, you are out... What is that kind of punishment for doing good?
    At least I'm asking an answer with not just blowing wind. Because I really feel like this is what Yoshida's post did after stating the issue and leave it the way it is!

    there really is something wonky about aoes and it seems to be something not everyone is feeling.

    Like fighting titan, during the plumes i run away and get the same tiny amount of clearance every time. Maybe 1 out of 4 times it hits me even though on my own screen the reaction looked exactly the same as always. Which I would be fine with if they didn't immediately follow his stomping meaning plume knicking your tail = death


    yet someone else on the screen looks like he's standing in the middle of them never moving and literally never gets hit by them
    While another guy looks like he's standing in one, dies, then his body slides over to outside the plume range where he claims he was
    and yet another guy looks like he's clear, plume goes off, and it looks like he got sucked back into it
    And other times people look exactly the same as myself, clearing it just barely in time like it seems to be designed for then dying outside the circle
    Which one is right? It makes no sense at all, It should at least be consistent

    Even knowing that the aoes are sorta delayed and clearing in the time that should be clear it's not a guarantee and having played mmo's for like 15 years without ever having this problem before it's pretty frustrating. Makes me feel like a complete idiot not being able to do something that seems so easy yet hits me regardless of following the pattern

    It's been said already, it's the same problem.


    We're mostly complaining about PLAYER <-> SERVER delay, however, when you are looking at other players, you get PLAYER <-> SERVER <-> PLAYER delay, which is at least x2 as bad as the one you are having.

    This isn't really a big deal (aesthetically it is, and well, if you try range-restricted interactions such as casts), because it mostly only affects spectating for now, people is more worried about when they die, than when others die; but yeah, if this was fixed, people would be complaining from seeing others on aeras still, it would just not be as intense and critical.

    However, this WILL be a major issue with PvP, where you are not just spectating other players.

    I'm well aware of delay but i still get cases where i see other people clear of the radius and getting hit by it.

    What kind of delay is going on when it has to communicate between them and the server and then communicate between the server and me to tell me where they are and the server says "they are clear" yet it still hits them?

    Even with you watching what happens is that the player moves out of AOE and the server registers them as still in the AOE because it checks every 300ms, now the server is about to kill that player but it still needs to send information to you so you get the information of the new player position at the same time that the boss's ability is about to go off but the server has already registered the first player as 'in the aoe' and will proceed to treat that character as if this were true without re-checking or verifying.
