I normally sit around 350 ms latency and have no troubles in any fight AT ALL.
Anyone complaining needs to git gud.

LOL I love all these SE white knights defending their favourite game company claiming that there is no lag because it doesn't exist for them. I mean why the hell would there be a 175 page thread about the issue and countless others???
Douchebags I tells ya
Yoshida even directly admitted himself there is a 0.3 delay that they cannot do a thing about, and thats why some primal fights were ninja nerfed slightly. All of this information exists. This is a thing, its happening.
This has to be your 1st MMO because every MMO I've played had lag issues.

Oh really? Sometimes I wonder if people don't even try anymore.

Lag sucks, and it's never a simple problem to fix. And simply no MMO is immune to it.

This is a gross generalization of what people are complaining about in FF14. The 'serious' discussion here is not about whether there is lag per se - it is the *type* of lag that impacts on gameplay in FF14. In wow, when there is lag, the player loses control over their toons (i.e., they can't move it or cast anything) and then dc's. Visual cues are still *accurate*.
In FF14, players see their toons move but it actually isn't moving type of lag. This type of lag is more serious because it makes visual cues for handling boss mechanics or casting/movement unreliable. This becomes a problem when you have 1-shot dodge mechanics - it has to be 100% reliable. How so? You won't know whether you have moved (even though visually you have) or not until you have DIED.
Just checked in if they fixed it... looks like NOPE.
Bought the game and never subbed because of this... I was hoping it was fixed by now so I can get back to playing.
I'll check again in a few months... but I kinda fear that I won't be back until it goes F2P.
It's different.Oh really? Sometimes I wonder if people don't even try anymore.

Those game had lag problems here and there. Here, it's always on (for some people).
Their was lag, this one is a faulty programming.

What's interesting is that while Titan HM (and XM too I'd assume) continues to be affected by this issue, SE still went ahead and released Labyrinth of the Ancients, where three times as many players go at Acheron with his absolutely crazy pattern AoEs - and in all my runs, I've experienced lag preventing me to dodge like maybe once. Which is completely negligible. I'd really like to know what they're doing there in the background...

They could ease up just a tad with some of the encounters.
Garuda EX comes to mind. I have no problems with the fight at all other than the feathers coming down like half a second too fast - generally if you're not already moving, you're gonna get hit. Or what happens a lot is I am moving and dodge one feather but accidentally get it by another. You have only a split second to react to it and it's a bit much, that kind of response time is fine for an action-based game like DMC or GoW but it's a bit much. I agree with the OP 100% and have seen it myself where on my screen it looked like my team mates weren't even in the red zone and then WHAM landslide/weight/whatever to the face.
It's cheap and unfair, not challenging.
