I think this is biggest thread I've seen with response pages from users outside Neogaf lol.

Daily bump. I really would just like them to say either "yes, it's a problem and we're looking at ways to reduce it" or "no, this is how our developers coded the game and we think it shouldn't be a problem so it's going to remain as-is."
It's obviously a very big problem for some people, and will determine whether they stick with the game or not. So if it's not something they consider an issue, or bug, then I'd at least like to know about it. For every one person posting here, there are who knows how many in game that don't do the forums, and won't post here. I can think of quite a few in my free company alone, and I'm the only one that really posts to the forums. Others will just leave it and move on if it doesn't get fixed.

This is really starting to show itself the more you progress. I gave up tanking at Brayflox because you just cannot do it with the aoe lag. Too frustrating for me and other people in the party. It's like we are playing two different games. I switched to blm, got to the Navel and sure enough the aoe lag makes the fight nothing but frustrating.
I run well away from the aoe box a the agro/attack line follows me and dings me with the aoe as if I'm standing in the box. No amount of futzing with the PS3 GUI options alleviates the problem.
daily bump.

I move out of AoE circles and back into it instantly because I know I wont get hit .
Definitely not fun getting hit by stuff that I shouldn't get hit by which also happens on some sort of effects like cones usually and sometimes lines but circles seem to be no issue . Client side AoE hit detection would be nice .
Problem is people would abuse it with hacks no doubt . But tbh I don't actually care about that because it doesn't effect my game play unless its PvP which I don't do in online games anymore due to hackers i.e FPS games ,
I care about having nice smooth game play like I got when I played EVERQUEST 15 years ago on a dial up modem .

Hey, does anyone know what 199.91.189.234 is? Because when I trace my signal to Balmung (199.91.189.30), it must go through that server. And between 199.91.189.234 and the general Montreal network/backbone servers are two called 66.198.96.50 and 192.34.76.2. The last one being Ormuco Communications (which I assume is the company S-E hired for their Montreal center). Anyway, between network/backbone and Balmung, these four servers add 20-25+ to my ping, and I would really want to know why two of them (the unknowns) are there.
Also *bump*.

And still no response from SE. This is getting truly sad.

im a PS3 player and the PS3 lags so much harder the PC version does.. and it really puts a damper on avoiding AoE stuff.. Ill admit i sometimes can be slow and it takes me a bit to learn the fight but oncei have it learned I still get hit half the time.. and I have tried it on the PC and its better.. but still issues.. so this really needs ot be fixed.. i like the aoe doging dont get me wrong but i think for the lag/latency issues.. theres just TOO much of it.
1290 posts and a douzen other threads and still no response... zzz
