Good to see more pics. The general consensus is that if you try to dodge an AOE with the cast bar beyond 80% you get hit. That's the 300ms positional check and some additional lag. Why can't SE just make the hit register at 120-130%? If people with a 20ms ping to the server still get hit between 80-99% cast bar then it wouldn't be making it over easy for them either.

I don't understand your post.
I proposed a possible solution. I agree it's not working correctly. SE have had several years to work this out and it seems this is the best they can get. So instead of trying to further optimise netcode they may just have to stick a plaster it. I wonder if the QA tests in house with 0 connection lag can dodge moving out at 99% cast and if they test from JP to the NA datacentre.

I feel like punching someone. I am way out of the red zone on titan every single time from my view but I always seem to get launched over the edge. I've had to level up into a summoner because I can't do it as a scholar because of this stupid bug.
All we want is an answer:
- Yes it's going to be fixed on [insert date]
- No it's never going to be fixed
At least with a response we'll be able to decide if we move on to another game or we wait until a certain date.
No feedback from SE is kinda rude...
Are you out of the red zone before the cast bar hits 80%-90%? Just wondering.

I think that is exactly why they're not commenting on this subject. They don't want to say no it won't be fixed. If they acknowledge the problem then they'll need to spend money fixing it. If they simply ignore it, people will give up eventually. Bethesda is known for this approach for their games as well.

You'd think after 1,074 replies they'd at least say something..
The whole being able to start a Cure cast while I'm auto running, only to show as interrupted a second later, instead of telling me I can't cast while moving is another thing I assume is related to this whole thing. Maybe, dunno.
Came from WoW where it was so smooth, my whole Nature's Swiftness>Healing Touch macro was a 1 click macro. Swiftcast>Cure II feels so pointless as an "Oh crap!" heal when it's not instant.
Subscription ran out today and the fact that SE aren't even commenting here really puts me off renewing, at least knowing they acknowledge it and are working on it would give as some reassurance, assuming other people are in the same boat as I am as to whether to renew or not.

I really don't think you understand this thread. SE (as well as others such as yourself) keep trying to recognize it as a 'nerf titan' thread and therefore they can dismiss it. if you would please take the time to look back at some of the videos posted you will see that titan is being used as a glaring example to show that because of problems with the server updating players positions they are getting hit by aoe. please stop offering up the excuse that people should focus on the cast bar and not the red circle. there are several videos showing people out of the red circle before the cast bar finishes and getting hit.Are you geared and is your party not being idiots? If those are both the case you should NEVER die to WotL. As far as I've seen every AoE in the game has a timer on it and if you miss the timer you take the hit out of it or not this isn't going to change unless they completely remove AoEs. To move on to my point I took me 5 days but I dropped Titan on a SCH in full DL minus 1 piece and my Ifrit weapon I ate plenty of WotLs from misisng timers but they NEVER killed me unless some idiot stacked them or trapped me in a stack (left me at around 1440 easy heal). Your party should have a relative idea of the rotation so you should ALWAYS scatter our for WotL so the plumes don't stack than no one dies and if you don't know the rotation so well stay spread out in general if its not stomp or the circle bombs. Don't call it game breaking just because you haven't figured out how to work around it.
what you are truly missing though is the main point. this positional update lag affects the ENTIRE game. therefore it affects targeting. it also affects say when a healer casts a spell and moves at about 80% completion, the spell will still go off. as far as I have seen, it affects me while I am questing and fighting against mobs that toss out red circles.
so why am I staying on if the game is so broken? because I am thinking that in order to start pvp they will have to fix this problem first. if they start up pvp and these lag problems still exist the resulting uproar will make this 100+ page thread look like a whimper.
