New Genders and PC Players!

A complete character re-creation for anyone playing at the time the missing genders are implemented would be in order. It would be incredibly unfair of SE to not give that option to the players who supported them through the worst of the game's existence. It's only fair as we created our characters and poured time and effort into them before being given these options. Asking us to completely re-roll is out of the question, especially after so much time.

I agree, this option should be given to existing players, I'm sure SE could throw some kind of credit marker/placeholder onto everyone's account in the meantime to show all users who paid for the game prior to new gender implementation.

I'm down for that, not that I would use it, but so that players can change their race once for free with the new ones, and after a period of time, perhaps there would be a cost with it... But yes, I would rather players do this, then start from Rank 1, unless they really wanted to.

I support the character recreation route. But I personally will be starting over from scratch so I can get more emotionally attached to my Character.

Same Cairdeas. I also would like to see the game from a newbs perspective while using my past experiences to compare how much the game changed at ps3 launch.

edit: Surplus would be removed also so I can effectively level without being constrained.

I'm planning on starting again anway. I can't say i have enjoyed any of FF XIV. I only played it to follow the updates. When the game has improved i will start again so i can enjoy it fully from the start.
