Blizzard just thinks of everything. Just read all the questions there and tell me if you think SE would even do half of that when implemented. <3

Yes of course it would be a very nice gesture from SE to aknowledge they should have just have this in the first place. :P
Considering we have been beta testing this game 8 months post release I think it is only fair to allow this. If I was the option at the start I would have made a female Roeg for sure. Hell I would even pay a small fee to be allowed to do this.
It would be completely unfair to the loyal playerbase who have been sticking it out since the rocky start to not be allowed access to the new gender options without having to make a new character.

well duh
blah
And here i thought i would wander the realms as the only female Roeg. :3
I remember how i was realy dissapointed when i first saw ff14 races and again: males are excluded from kittens and females are excluded from beeing strong and bulky. Same as in FF11...downer.
Then i was slightly happy when i saw hyur highlander and thought "yay", then in character creation i knocked down to earth by the fact "male ONLY now go cry", so i did.
Ok then i thought ill make a midlander hyur since elezen have a shrink head (realy why is it so small? XD). After a while i suceeded in not makeing her either look like a militant lesbian or a girly. Then i logged in, ran 5 meters...
deleted the character!
I mean seriously? What the hell are the female hyur doing with their arms while running? That looks like a little school girl with a watermelon head in high heels running in panic from a mouse while totaly beeing afraid her new nail polish wont make it...(ok im slightly exggerating here but i hope it clears up my point :P).
With the kittys... i made it till voice part, i refuse to play a character which sounds like a squeeking girl trying to be cute...my poor ears! Have mercy with my ears! They could have atleast added one voice sample which sounds tough. Kittys have claws and teeth, can just fine defend themselfes and, atleast from talking to some, can just fine hold their own. So why again turning them into some perverted fantasy kitten school girl slave thing? ;_;
A voice sample which sounds less squeeking would already be fine...
So i fell back to playing shrink-head-elezen. I realy like her now but female roeg gladi would be so much sexyer *drool*.
...please dont give them shrink-heads too! XD
For those who are iffy about the ps3 missing genders addition ask yourself this, WHY WOULD THEY WAIT TILL PS3 LAUNCH TO RELEASE NPC?
For those who do not remember from the start all clans and races was going to have both genders, just whant happen was they ran out of people to truely make them. So they put that on hold, then decided to make them npc at least (the various bugs and server stability issue prevented this as well)
But they do have the models already made. And can put npc in at any time.

I agree good idea for when PS3 launches, I will be honest, I would like to change the color of my hair/tail, and maybe my skin color. But even if they added male Miqo'te I would still stay with my female character.
I also feel it should be a one time thing. Now if later they wanted to add a semi-change for Crysta, like allowing skin/hair color changes but not gender or race, that would be a nice Crysta shop item.
I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.
