New Genders and PC Players!

I'm skeptical about this because they never said they would be playable, they said they would be introduced. Introduced could mean they would come out as NPC or as part of the story line. While I hope they are playable his words were to vague and due to that left open to peoples interpretation on what he meant.

If they are in fact playable (which I do hope for) and SE confirms this, then yes I agree that existing players who were playing before the release of the PS3 should be allowed a one time change to their race without loosing any gear/ranks/levels/etc.

I with you on that. We weren't clearly told they'd be playable. We all just really hope they will be.
I'm for a one time race/gender change if these are introduced, though I wouldn't use it myself.

I do think this proberly does need to happen even if in the world it doesnt make sense, i dont need it myself but theres obviously so many miqo'tes there that would of liked the choice of it, i wouldnt want them to feel bumed out and feel the urge to have to start all over again just for pure aesthetic changes, altho i would say if its going to happen it should happen as soon as possible and get it out of the way, its not exactly an ideal thing to have the players to do or witness the drastic sex change of alot of people., only as long as its a one time thing.

Perhaps SE should put out a transmogrification potion or something. And it should cost real-life money so people aren't doing it every other day.

The reason is that everyone and their mother will be a male miqote when and if the race is released just because it's new. Then when the novelty wears off they will regret it, so SE needs to include some way for people to go back to their original race of choice I should think. I don't know about you, but I would rather an Eorzea that reflected the diversity of the races available. If they don't let people change races at least once, nobody will adopt the new races. However, if they ONLY let people change races once, then EVERYONE might adopt the new races.

Hence why SE should implement a race-change option in the square-enix account services.

im for this... i'd totally remake my character if i didnt have some NM drop items.. also getting the aethers for Mor'dona and certian areas was abit bleh XD, i think SE should add ingame thing that lets us watch cutscenes we've previously done like XI that way for those who dont feel like totally remaking, you could get to see your new-correct-gender character and thus be able to still get somewhat attached :3

Charging people might seem like a bitch move but now i think about how many people may end up and ditch everything else for just that one race it makes sense, reminds of charging people to change a gamertag , more a deterant to make things easy to manage than something they are using to primarly make money.

I really hope they do let us change if the new genders are released. I'll be staying the same but my girlfriend picked miqote at launch without realizing that over half the population of the game would be picking the same (she didn't play xi). Now that we have some sort of idea what the female roegadyns will look like she really wants to switch.

I support this notion. People who wants to switch to the new genders should definitely get a freebie. I'm happy with my lala, but wouldn't mind paying a fee to change looks if they ever add to character customization.

I actually agree. I'd be a male miqo'te if they don't look like pedifiles like on FFXI's male mithra. (see WotG) But small, slender, and cat-like in appearance I'm all for.

I'm voting yes because as funny as Mi'quote Fantasy Online was at first I'm getting a bit annoyed at having 6 to a party.
