I got 99 problems, but my MAP ain't one! VIDEO guide to the crappy maps

ARE YOU GETTING LOST OFTEN? MAYBE DON'T EVEN KNOW WHERE TO GO? THIS MIGHT HELP.

So I've been seeing that people have been having some issues navigating the maps... I first had trouble when obtaining the quest "I think it's pirates." The icon was just out in the middle of no where.

It took me forever wandering to find it.

I since have learned a few tricks that help me finding any POI(point of interest). Hopefully this helps you adapt to the map system fairly easily.

I love the maps in this game. Sometimes leaving it semi-transparent while running looks like an effect from an old 'pulp genre' adventure movie. Especially with the whole sepia tone effect. And I can see my little arrow moving as I run across parts of the game world.

Nice tutorial, but I still prefer doing it the way I currently do it by clicking on the small white text showing name of state and zone next to the little square icons, which drops down a list of names. If you click on a state it shows a map of all the zones connected by white lines showing how they all connect to each other so you can easily trace a route to where you want to go. I find this a much easier method, especially if you're not after a quest but simply just looking for a non-quest place you want to go which won't be marked on map or outer edge.

It's whatever works for each individual. You pointed out some good pointers for people that don't know.

I actually forgot to mention a few things that you brought up... I don't like my videos to go too long... One of the major things I forgot was the whole pressing SELECT to bring up the cursor and clicking the duty list description to bring it up on the map... I also didn't explain the drop boxes in the map window... which is part of what you brought up... Hmmm I better note that in a supplement video maybe... thanks for reminding me about adding that info.. 0_0

I am watching it now and immediately I went to scale up my minimap but had to look up how to do it on a PC since I do not have an R3 button (it is CTRL+HOME). I will continue to watch and hope that this may actually save my sanity.
Those of you who have played this game for a while probably do not realize just how many things are not intuitive and may create an unfun playing experience due to not being able to complete simple functions.

Yeah I was surprised how many things did not have explanations for them, for example the targeting system filters... It's crazy... which is why we started the video tutorial series...

I really appreciate it. I am going to watch more and read more and see if I can make the game more playable for me.

I really like the look and feel of the game but my frustration with simple things is ruining the experience for me. Thankfully there seems to be a good group of players that are happy about sharing these tips and tricks, like yourself.
