AFK Leveling

I won't answer your post about the blah-blah, sorry not going to fuel troll attacks started by Shia in which you poped mysteriously right after I /blisted him on the board.

That or the people using some auto-atk bot/scripts in behest. The thing is behest goes fast and you cannot kick somebody out of the PT when a mob is engaged, so you're stuck with either afk'ers or people with the auto-atk script. Easy to see those using the auto-atk script, they keep tabbing even before behest started AND atk non-leve mobs. The most obvious is when they go straight ahead to other mobs when the leve mobs are next to them.


At this rate the game will be nicknamed BOT fantasy XIV or AFK-leveling fantasy XIV, where ranking up became pretty easy but yet people are still so lazy that they get their classes p-leveled.

Does that sound attracting to you if you weren't playing the game and would like to try it? People make their own judgement but yet most are pretty biased too.

I'm not, nor have I ever, attacked anyone. I haven't attacked anyone's principles, morals or how they choose to play. I am on the defense. I am defending my right to play as I please regardless of what anyone else thinks about it. I'm not stealing their monsters. I'm not ninja looting their gear. I'm simply playing with my friends (many of whom come and go over the course of a 3 hour period). I don't have a problem with it. I told them they could do it. I enjoy it.

If you had read all of my posts before BList me, you'd see that I actually CHAMPION-ed the old system because it absolutely 100% prevented AFK leveling. It was something I was excited about. I was so happy that people could come and go as they please, but if they were gone too long they wouldn't be getting any SP as they wouldn't be hitting a mob.

I loved that system. I would have seen it tweaked rather than thrown away.

It was thrown away, though, and now I have a system that I use to get SP the fastest way I know how. I let people Link Leves with me and I let them go about their business (or they fight) and we call it square. I get what I want. They get a free ride. Everyone gets something. We're all HAPPY.

I don't see why anyone wants to take our happiness away. The only authority on the subject is SE, and since this thread was directed to SE specifically, I had every right to present a counter argument.

As a well known fact that nothing has been done yet and nothing can/will be done about people doing Powerlvling for their friends/family/LS mates by their own will from SE's side since 2002 FFXI released. seriously what to complain about in this case, for some people who never played FFXI or any other MMORPGs perhaps?

and the thing totally different between PLing and Botting/RMTing is i can admit that ive been doing the PL stuff for whoever i like for ages long at anytime/place to anybody because its allowed/Legit. yet so far who dares to mention half a word about he/she/it has done botting/RMT trading? simply because its illegal so please some ppl dont mix up them all together as the same concept maybe.

Also hell it must be as hard as some rocket science to play a RPG such as FFXIV, therefore if you get one of your job powerlvled you dont get to know/learn and obtain the skills at how to play it properly after all in some people's ridiculous theory.

As one example of myself's that I lvled my THM almost the entire time by PLing then i must have totally no clue how to play it typically. but next i did duo/trio dodore with my LS mates/friends successfully as my THM(refer to youtube videos made by LS members) multiple times(before the nm nerfed) with complete lack of skills? So where does that theory stand actually,well now you can say the game is too easy to play i guess? "Rocket science theory" goes away?

everyone gets their own way to play the game and learn how to play it in my opinion.

I think this was more true of accounts bought at Lv75 or end-game in WoW.

It goes to show that a lot of people still have their minds wrapped around an XI way of playing and thinking. Trying to min/max and be elite and the best they can be - when the game is built around playing how you want, when you want, and building your own customized classes.

They don't see ranking up Gladiator as "farming Gladiator abilities to use on your Conjurer." They will still say things like "You play Gladiator poorly if you AFK level it to 50." Well "playing Gladiator" is meaningless. Gladiator isn't a role. It's just a skill set. You could say I don't tank well, and I'd say "Yep. I don't want to tank."

Even so though, the learning curve of XIV is much easier to pick up (and 50 is such a low cap, so far) that playing a Rank 50 job isn't really much different than playing a Rank 20 job. Heck, half the abilities you get after 25 are just the "suchandsuch II" ability anyway.

It's a throw away argument. It's a mindset of a different game being carried over to this one.

mobs are too weak for anyone to care. give the mobs some buffalo defense then we're talking everyone needs to be there.

There's this feature called 'oust' in party management. This has always been a problem in MMOs, even in FFXI where you had to know what you were doing. These people would normally get a /tell or two and then kicked out if nothing happened. If they had a genuine excuse they may be let back in. So just kick these leechers out imo.

If this is your LS doing this and you find it distasteful, find another LS. It's not worth the frustration.

Last I checked, no one except you posts reviews of AFK LEVELING Fantasy XIV. All the comments and reviews I have read is It was a super lackluster release because, they released no content, stay away from it, come back when ps3 comes out to see if they fixed it. No mention of look at that horrible community all they do is AFK level, it is such a small percentage of the community, it has no bearing on how the game is reviewed. It's currently maybe called Fail Fantasy XIV by outside eyes, that is about it.

Here is what you should do.

1 - Don't HEAL HIM

2 - Bring behest mobs which do AOE attacks and spells NEXT TO HIM

3 - Refer to step 1

He will die.

All this crying on the forums will do is force SE to enable some afk time limiter and you will have to pee in 180 seconds before you are dropped from the party. This leads to other things they haven't programmed into the game yet. Which means you won't see it change. There are far more important things to work on first before your little concern.
