Its sad that people are getting the wrong idea about his thread. If you actually read my initial post I've not once mentioned a guy, his wife, some other guys AFK leeching. No one is pointing fingers, only people who have gotten offended by the topic have point at themselves to be victims of "apparently" harassment.

Thank you people who have actually contributed to the thread and posted your opinions and solutions.
This was a discussion that turned into an argument because some people are easily offended.
Like Honz said I'm going to be the bigger man and step away from this flame war, insult me all you want but that isn't going to stop me getting my voice through.

Well finally we agree on something. This will be my last post here anyway. I no longer hold interest in the topic. Thanks for the discussion guys it was enjoyable.

You fail to see how offensive your thread Post was. Who is it of your concern on how people play a game. They are not breaking any rules. You simple sticking your nose where it don't belong. Sorry but sweetie this us a video game. Not a work place where your brown nose the boss.

It isn't even being "pro afk lvling". OP is shoving their nose in to other peoples play time. And crying foul on something that don't effect them. They have no valid argument and have never really shared on why they are so adement on what people do. Thet are not basing this off experience really, but tossing witch hunt style judgement calls based on what they THINK they see.

Kilta, what on earth are you talking about? If you afk level, that's not your play time. it doesn't even belong to you. You're not playing. There is no time. You have no business.

If you aren't afk levelling, and it only looks like you are, then the change won't affect you and people claiming you're afk levelling can go stick their members in a forge.

And it does affect them. You look like a better asset to people if you have the ability to level when you're not even playing compared to someone who levels everything while playing. You can't compete with some guy for a shell position with a pugilist and marauder that you played yourself compared to some buy who paid RMT 270 bucks to level their conjurer, thaumaturge, marauder, archer, lancer, and pugilist all to 50.

That's a deal. I'd pay that if it were right, fair, and allowed. But there's no way in hell that's any of those.

Just because a character is following or not attacking a mob and staying near party...

DOES NOT MEAN THEY ARE AFK!

Simple solution: Make mobs and things harder that require more than 1 member to kill mobs, this would make idle following harder to do.

I do not see a problem with Idle/Inactive Following if the whole group is allowing it. On the other hand, if the group is not allowing it and someone goes to leech without an agreement, then it is up to the leader to boot them from the party. People who start these stupid threads about "I'm jealous, someone else is helping someone else rank up but not me" should really stop. If SE does anything on restriction how you play it will only hurt the game. Too many rules = failed game. Solution as said above: Make the mobs harder, this makes inactive players hurt the party, right now the game is TOO EASY!

How does people who multi box or go afk effect you? Do you know why they go afk? And who cares, they bought the game and as long as they are not breaking rules you shpuld have an issue. I know tons of people who multi box or power level. And I know Stuff happens that cause people to go afk for long periods of time. Only thing you have a right in doing is politly kick them from your group. No change is needed and demanding one based on appearences is stupid.


If you care so much on this stupid subject, then powerleveing should be included, as it is taking the easy way out also. You have no fear in death what so ever.

honestly unless you know fully what is going on and not basing it off of what to THINK your seeing, then complain. No one here is trying to look at the bigger scope of things. And lastly it is VIDEO GAME nothing more. So there was no reason for this thread to even have started.

Not sure why darkstarpoet1 quoted me, since you were talking about something that I didn't even mention in my post. :x

My last paragraph meant that I don't think there is much we can do without hurting the game more, which nobody wants, so I hope the new battle system SE has promised us will discourage organized AFK parties (see screenshot I mentioned earlier). Until then, maybe this topic will keep people aware and away from such activities.

By canceling, I meant failing. And the fact of the matter its crap attacking some guy who has his wife on follow every once in awhile because its cheater sp. While you can get 100k+ SP (easily) with this little exploit on a leve run - daily. Sorry, this holier-than-thou BS is pointed in the wrong direction.

That nonsense has caused more damage to the game then anything some random guy does with his wife. The fact people tried to crucify him on this thread is absurdly laughable.

Well, we also get 100k SP per day in leves by failing them. So you can still rage at me if you want. As I said, the devs addressed this long ago and said that they expected it so acknowledge it's fine if you want to do it. You don't have to like it.

You can also grind 100k SP in roughly the same amount of time if you know what to fight. Knowing the Level of each mob (which people cried about being easy mode) has made SP testing prove that grinding is just as effective as leve linking every day (the same 8 leves).

The game lets you play how you want to play - so you do that and I'll do what I like doing.
