Sorry if you misunderstood I don't give a shit how you play kilta but I care that the system of the game creates double the normal rewards for zero additional effort when it comes to just having an additional character. I was giving a response to how additional characters and people who simply take the easy way in life are currently effecting others. I didn't call out anyone specifically and my comments were are pretty correct about the system of skill and material generation in the game.

Actually you do care how ppl play. We are playing a game. Your telling us how to play, by saying a person whop levels 2 characters reaps more for no aditional effort. I had a friend in ffxi duel box 2 account with 5 characrers each. They are doing 2x the work per you one. It isn't really that easy to 2box characters.

Sorry kilta have you tried out the levequest system yet? It is not quite like anything in 11 which you are referring to. People are not "2boxing" and working two characters. They are auto-following and simply standing in range to earn twice the skill/experience points and Gil rewards. 2box does not mean they are playing 2 characters at all in 14. It's not hard to do at all like you are implying. If I cared it must be such actions do affect me in some way and I have even pointed it out a few examples which were asked for. I simply said specifically I did not care about how you played because it really doesn't effect me or my server even.

Sorry kilta you're the first person I'm going to add to my blacklist seeing the kind of comments you make in the hopes of making people interact with you over the internet. Seeing 2,152 comments surely isn't healthy for your normal life I am going to simply assume. Good luck with your forum going but right now you don't even know what this topic is about which is AFK leveling for levequests and the abuses of it. Maybe after you see it for yourself you will change your opinions about it. People who are not playing shouldn't be rewarded like they are playing.

You know, canceling leves is something the Devs DID design. They even addressed it early in the games life, stating that failed leves would be able to be re-done on the next leve reset so that people don't fail on purpose to do them continuously. Therefore they knew it would happen and designed it to be fair.

By canceling, I meant failing. And the fact of the matter its crap attacking some guy who has his wife on follow every once in awhile because its cheater sp. While you can get 100k+ SP (easily) with this little exploit on a leve run - daily. Sorry, this holier-than-thou BS is pointed in the wrong direction.

That nonsense has caused more damage to the game then anything some random guy does with his wife. The fact people tried to crucify him on this thread is absurdly laughable.

Well, we also get 100k SP per day in leves by failing them. So you can still rage at me if you want. As I said, the devs addressed this long ago and said that they expected it so acknowledge it's fine if you want to do it. You don't have to like it.

You can also grind 100k SP in roughly the same amount of time if you know what to fight. Knowing the Level of each mob (which people cried about being easy mode) has made SP testing prove that grinding is just as effective as leve linking every day (the same 8 leves).

The game lets you play how you want to play - so you do that and I'll do what I like doing.

And as I said it has brought nothing but trouble to the game in several detrimental aspects - far more then random people people going afk and putting their wife/husband/ls mate/friend on follow for a bit. Glad to see your gimlet-eyed, oh-so astute observations have focused on that rather then this minor problem. Hell, if you haven't caught on I have been defending your right to play with your wife as you see fit. Stop trying to defend your "position" with this babble. You don't even have a position to defend so bugger off already.

Uh huh... now you're just bankrupting yourself of even that asinine point you're bizarrely clinging onto if you think that. Aside from the fact I said 100+ - well into the plus - the levinshower, wells, etc loophole is by far more effective and lets you soar through the 30s in a handful of moments. So much so the 30 range is almost redundant.

The game lets you play how you want to play - so you do that and I'll do what I like doing.

This topic is obviously about mass organization of AFK leeching (note the screenshot that was posted about 5 pages back showing the type of mass organization that is occurring right now), it isn't about people taking toilet breaks while in a party or having to cook dinner and auto-following while you cook up a storm.

I don't however see an obvious fix for this exploit without once again changing the SP system which I don't fancy relearning again and again and again, but I am hopeful for the new battle system that SE has promised us.

i've been reading this topic also, but if you take action against the power levelers as you guys state it is at discretion of a gm and they could wind up taking action against someone going to take a potty break. i think this was the point that was made earlier that if they made rules to punish the handful of people that do engage in this type of garbage then it will hurt others in the long run.

anytime you make rules at someone's discretion there is no set rules such as tos violations on here. i've seem some of the stuff that got tos violated on this site and they were nowhere near as bad as i see on the site daily, but because it was someone's discretion it can be determined as bad because it is not of the same opinion of the moderator.

it's simple for me i will not be in a party with someone that does this and if they have to go afk for an extended length of time they can go sit at camp until back. if we notice people just leeching we simply boot them from party as we will not be part of the issue.

I just have to ask why does anyone care? If people are doing it to help a friend then fine, it's not hurting you. If they're not doing it for RMT purposes what should you care? Make note of those people and don't play with them. The only people it's hurting is themselves as they will have less experience with actually playing the game.

If it's for RMT purposes of course, ban the shit out of them. Otherwise just don't play with them and get on with your life.

I'd rather SE not change the game to try to "solve" this as it would generally inconvenience legitimate players.
