Anyone use these, and if so how often do they process on the enemy? I don't know much about them other than I've heard they are supposed to debuff the enemy in some way. I wonder if they are worth using over boarskin/peists/jade in some situations?

I have the Disabling Baghnakhs and I think they're great honestly. They put poison and paralyze on the enemy and they stick fairly often and quickly. They've been a great help in some longer battles since it can negate some enemy actions.
I'd honestly never use Jade though as they are now. HQ repair mat, no thanks.
Do you think 2.5 Million is a fair price for the +1's? Those are the only ones I see in our market wards right now.
Ouch, that's quite a bit. I paid 1mil each for mine, I don't know if I'd pay another 1.5 mil for one for the 5% stat increase.
I'm trying to find a high level Alchemist on Besaid to make exactly this atm actually..
Just getting the materials as opposed to buying the two on market would save me like 750-800k =V
Not to mention I already have a pair of Iron Baghnakhs, so if they had success on the first attempt I would pretty much save 950k+ =P
I'm sure the one alchemist that made them though, even if they saw my shout, they probably wouldn't do it simply because they want me to buy the ones on market.
I believed that these where great weapons, maybe even greater than the Peiste Cesti, but then I went and tried them myself.
The effects hit very often yes, but I cant seem to notice them making that much of a difference in a fight.
I mean I can barely see any poison damage (if at all) and the paralyze effect although cool rarely works.
I am not sure if I have to build mage stats in order for the debuff effects to be noticable, but since I haven't these barely work.
I still like these weapons but not over Peiste, I wouldn't pay 1million for them since I can pay 50k and get Peiste +1.
Exactly this. I bought just a pair of NQ Disabling and I did notice the Paralyze debuff process quite frequently, but didn't notice exactly what that buff was doing. Keep in mind I was testing this on some of the mid-level NMs so it may be that the mid-level NM's are resistant. Kinda tough to test on leve mobs since most of them die too fast anyways in party. Perhaps someone could test on a mongrel or hedgehog to see if they stop their special annoying moves.I believed that these where great weapons, maybe even greater than the Peiste Cesti, but then I went and tried them myself.

Paralyze works in FFXIV similar to how it works in Pokemon (at least how it did many versions ago). Each time you try to use any action it has a chance of stopping you. While paralyzed you can still perform actions, there's just a % chance that the action simply won't go through.
This is true, but the precentage of the enemiy's action not going through, is like 5% at best.
I was using these weapons for fairly long period, on NMs, on leves, on everything and it rarely worked (although it landed frequently), also the poison damage is non existent just like the Skullsander DOT damage..... its just not there.
I dont know if its a bug or we need mage stats for these to start working, but they need to fix this.
I like them 'cause they look cool. The added effect is icing on a sharp, pointy, delicious cake.
