I'm a selfish healer. I only heal if it benefits me.I am a healer, therefor by definition I pay it forward when I play everyday. I can't tell you how many times just questing I have healed players that I saw were struggling (and give rez to people that ask in chat if I'm moderately close). Most are very appreciative and give me a bow or a thank you. I love being a healer, some of us just have the personality for it. Just try and remember though, when somebody dies it's not always are fault, actually it rarely is, but I don't mind taking the blame anyway. And while were at it can you please "pay it forward" to me and give me your Swiftcast ability so I don't have to level a Thaumaturge to 26, thanks...LOL
I queue my SCH for low level dungeons, trials and hests to help reduce the queue times of DPSers.
I help with low level dungeons and assist others with the mechanics of the boss fights, telling players where to find certain botanist items to harvest and by farming mats for some players. (no, I don't get anything from it, just helping others)
I log out each and every time I stop playing.
Wait....... Doesn't he die a senseless death because he was trying to pay it forward?
I switched classes in the field to raise someone who was just laying there dead.
I've helped out random people fighting mobs when it looked like they were struggling, I've dismounted to throw some cures at people who were struggling with mobs.
I answer random questions in shout, I offer free orange juice to anyone who's trying to complete the gear dye quest.
Just small things, but it always makes me smile when I can help someone else in game![]()
Everyone thought paid retainers and fantasia would be the end of it.
You were warned.
Cash shop in, TrystWildkey out.
I stand around where people are doing Leves and heal them while I wait for the next FATE. Smile (Sorry, I would not be waiting for a FATE if I hadn't sucked up all the side quests leveling my GLA and CNJ.)
I go out of my way to raise people nearby. I drop heals on someone if I see they're getting wrecked by a mob, and stay there until they finish it off.
Currently I'm farming Longstop for Battlemage gear, each and every tank I've queued with so far was new to the instance and I always explain the mechanics of each fight for them beforehand. It helps a lot to explain something to a new tank instead of just getting mad and leaving.
I answer questions in /sh as often as possible and try to offer suggestions if there's something better someone could be doing for what they need.
I tell stupid jokes in /sh. Not really paying it forward, but hey, everyone loves a good laugh now and then!
If I see a dead body, I hop off my chocobo, swap to Whm, and proceed to raise, regen, and stoneskin them. I'll wait to make sure they accept the raise for 5 - 10 min in case they went afk
