    error code 90000 every 5 minutes since update

    Has anyone else had this happen? Ever since the update a couple nights ago I can't play for more than 5 minutes at a time without being disconnected from the server. I tried tech support and they told me the issue had already been fixed. Apparently not on my account since I am still having problems. My roommate isn't having any problems so I know it's not our connection. How can I fix this??

    i have the same problem....when SE goes to fix it? its only my problem? i have this problem since wednesday...

    This is somewhat widespread. People getting 90k randomly at any time, NOT just when entering or leaving an instance or zoning.

    Some people have this because their ISP thinks FF is a P2P program and so they throttle their internet.

    Others, it happens when entering or leaving an instance, although I don't see many threads describing this exact circumstance anymore.

    Other still will notice that everything in the game slows down to a stand-still, as if it lost communication with the server, and then get 90k.

    Others will have it happen randomly, after a couple hours of play, at any time, anywhere, doing any activity, with no warning, no slow down, no lag spike. Just boom - 90k.

    I'm hoping once they get all their server issues ironed out, and rule out ISP throttling, that they'll take a look at this more in depth. It IS rather annoying to be in the middle of a boss fight in a dungeon and then, alluva sudden, no warning - 90k. I can log back in immediately with little downtime, so it's not gamebreaking for me, but it IS an issue they need to address regardless.

    sorry you guys have the same issue now, so many of us got this error since the first of September maintenance, but so far no word from SE on what the issue is and what are they doing about it if at all, there was a locked thread about this as well, and the tech support said that this is our ISP's doing when I call them on the phone .

    Try using a VPN. There's a free one called spotflux that some people on this forum have used with success. If it IS indeed ISP throttling in your case, then a VPN will mask FF from your ISP, and stop the throttling.

    If you still get 90k using a VPN, then you know it's not you or your ISP. It's probably SE, or something with your account/character.

    Happening ever since the second of this month. They've claimed to have fixed it if you submit a ticket. They say to contact their chat support or call them, but I hear it's a real pain to get in contact with them. It's quite annoying.

What i have to do? i can try t do something...but i dont realy think that is my problem, cus i always played without lag neither deconnections of the server...it was perfect...

    PS.: I play FFXIV in PS3

    I'm very sorry but I dunno of a possible work-around for PS3 users. I don't think there's a way to use VPN's with PS3's (anyone who knows better?). And this will only work if it is indeed your ISP throttling you.

    But yeah, I have both the PS3 and PC version. It happens to me on both. It also happens to me if I'm at a friend's house using my PC on his internet, using my PS3 on his internet, and using his PS3 on his internet (playing on my account of course). Funny thing though: he NEVER, EVER EVER EVER gets 90k. Yet when I'm playing at his house, on any machine, I get 90k. Which leads me to believe it's something to do with either character data or account data. In other words: it's SE's problem, not mine.

    I plan on making a second character on a different server just to test to see if it is my character or my account.

    just tried the VPN you mentioned above, Alkoun.
    nope it is doing the same thing, so no it is not my ISP, besides I did not have such issue playing in Open Beta and early access at all.

    Neither did I. It all started upon official release for me. Random 90k's every few hours. Welcome to the club!
