Two of the same Unique Untradable items in my inventory, game not happy about it.

I seemed to have picked up a second pair of Wizard's Gloves. One is in my Armore and one is in my inventory. I cannot discard the one in my inventory. I cannot put the gloves from my inventory into my Armore. It is basically a dead inventory slot. I cannot take the one that is in my Armore out.

Yes. This is a known thing. Stuff in your Armoire basically doesn't exist as far as the game is concerned. So a unique item can be gotten again, because the game doesn't see you as having it. This happens to legacy characters with AF gear (which normally can only be gotten once) because you legacy characters who have already earned AF will do the 2.0 job quests that earn AF. You did the level 45 BLM quest with your gloves in the Armoire and thus got a second pair. But you then can't remove the item in the Armoire, because that would give you two of a unique item, and you can't put the item *in* the Armoire because the Armoire isn't allowed to have more than one of any unique item itself. And the system doesn't let you drop them because they're an important piece of a equipment that (normally) can't be obtained a second time. About the only thing you can do at this point is put the item on a retainer if you're out of armory slots. One hopes they'll do something to fix this issue in the future.
