ALL relic quest progress lost...

Greetings all,

I understand the frustration about this situation each one of you has experienced. I know a lot of you are still waiting for answers. At this time, we have not responded since we are still awaiting answers from those higher up as to what can be done. We currently do not have a resolution for anyone who has abandoned their quest or simply lost their quest progress. I know it's hard to hear that there is currently no resolution available, but I assure you that we want to help you as soon as possible!

In the meantime, there is going to be a "Letters from the Producer - Live!" session where Yoshi P will be answering questions from the fan base. We welcome you to check out the article, which has the details about this, located below:

Also, someone had asked, "Why this thread is not in the 'Accepted Bugs' section?" The reason is that while it is something we are looking into, if we moved it there the players affected would no longer be able to post in it in order to add their information here. Rest assured that your voices do not go without being heard. We do see this thread every day and even if we may not post, we are always watching. We will be sure to keep you updated when we have more information for you all.

You could have kept you comment to read the edit version above. With that being said. It appears more players are accidentally abandoning the quest when they are trying to leave a " instance / dungeon " only after they exit.. they realize what they did.
To those.. Tuff Luck.

But You Mr. Mod know that there is an actual BUG and NOTHING is being done about it. I cant imagine I or anyone would want to experience doing this .. the Longest Quest in ARR over again with even 1% chance of losing progress. Do better than sugar coating this issue. Subscribers Money is on the line.

I was doing my relic quest after killing hydra, i talked to npc for relicquest and my quest reset to Enhanced Madmans whispering Rod, even though i still have my Unfinished Thyrus..

Steps:
1. I was doing the "a relic reborn" quest and got to the point of first talking to Gerolt.
2. I believe Gerolt told me to go pick up the relic (from what I read online he should have sent me to u'ghamaro mines), but I skipped over the reading so I'm not sure exactly what he said.
3. After talking to Gerolt, the quest vanished. I have no next step to take, and the quest doesn't appear in my journal, either as completed or current. I would have abandoned and restarted the quest, but there is no quest for me to abandon.
4. I have retraced my steps, going to waking sands, Rowena and Gerolt. I can't pick up the quest at any of these places. I have also gone to the place where I'm supposed to pick up the relic, but there's nothing there for me.

EDIT: Problem taken care of. I thought I had finished my lvl 50 job quest but I hadn't. Everything is fine now.

Like most people that posted, i killed titan last night & handed in the 3 key items to which i was notified i needed the oil to get the relic. I logged off for the night & when i logged in this morning my quest was gone. i realized this just after farming several hours in dungeons to get the tomes for the oil =/

Finally defeated Titan HM last night. When I went to Gerolt (Relic NPC) to complete the quest for Gae Bolg, I saw a quest icon over his head which made me worried. I spoke to him and he gave me the Relic Reborn quest which I have been working so hard on for the past few weeks.. I even purchased the Radz-at-Han Oil already to get my DRG Relic Weapon. Now I have to do it all over again. I am extremely frustrated since all the work was for nothing. I contacted SE Support and this is all they could tell me:

Thank you for taking the time to alert us to abandoning a quest, and erasing the progress you made towards its completion. Any loss of progress is a frustrating experience, since that involves not just gil, but time and effort that has been lost. At the current time, the GMs are unable to restore quest progress; however, due to reports like this, we are currently looking into how we may be able to assist with these issues. We apologize for the inconvenience and that we do not have an immediate resolution that you can offer you. If you feel that the abandoning of the quest was due to a game error and not an accidental choice, please report it through the forums (http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/forum.php) so we can track the progress of the report. Thank you again for your patience and understanding.

Problem is, I don't understand and I am NOT going to be patient about this KNOWN issue. How can a quest just disappear when we PAY for things like this NOT to happen.

I just wanted to note that I was helping Sindella with the hard mode primal fights and the Garuda fight was bugged from the start. Before we even commenced the duty Garuda killed the party while someone was still viewing the cutscene. Here are the screenshots I was able to get. I hope this can help solve this problem.

Yeah it happened to me at hydra and SE did indeed fix it for me....they told me to go and start it again and 'sorry'

Details: Continued "A Relic Reborn" quest last night (11/19/13 6:00-10:00PM PST) after patching. Jumped into Ifirit Hard Mode and noticed lag, got the 90000 error and was disconnected during fight. Logged back in and successfully finished fight. Attempted Garuda right after and wiped. Decided to log off afterwards and try again today (11/20/13). However, when I logged on today the quest progress disappeared and all progress was gone. Went to Gerolt and he's having me start from the beginning.

I'm sure all frustrations have been vented throughout this thread regarding this issue but between getting disconnected several times (besides last night), the loss of progress/gil and lack of support to resolve this issue in a timely manner (Thread goes back to beginning of September!) I am about done with this game just like the last one.
