Software can glitch and be rendered unusuable (It's a bitch when it happens...), can be hacked (It's very unlikely to happen, but can happen) - The physical one is near impossible to hack, usually is faster to change codes and lasts a long time (up to 10 years if you got a GOOD ONE.) In the end, the decision remains yours whether you want to change it or not. In your place, I'd keep the physical one.
